The Night Before Our Stars Predictions
So THE NIGHT BEFORE OUR STARS is on in 650 theaters...
If there are 150 people per show who pay $25 each that's
650 x 150 x $25 = $2,437,500
Is this too optimistic or too pessimistic (poll)?

Re: The Night Before Our Stars Predictions
Heh, I was trying to figure this out earlier and came to the same "150 people per show" guesstimate. I just wasn't sure of the theater count. Although I think I'll go for a lower $1.5-2 million range for now.

Re: The Night Before Our Stars Predictions
Sorry for being slighty off topic but my question on this "special showing" is whether it will be pooled into the weekend's gross?

Re: The Night Before Our Stars Predictions
I would be really surprised if they separated this out from the other Thursday shows. I believe they will lump it together for one Thursday preview gross, which will be added to Friday for a very strong Friday gross.

Are there regular shows on Thursday as well?

Re: The Night Before Our Stars Predictions
I have a feeling these will be counted separately... Well we'll see. The ones around here start at 5:30.

The Night Before Our Stars is a simulcast, which means it's starting everywhere right about now. In Cali it's 5:30, here it's 7:30. I don't know why they'd separate them, it's the same film, just some extras with the special price.

Re: The Night Before Our Stars Predictions
I think $2m-$2.5m is the right range for this. I mean these things will be sold out for sure.
