Can someone pretty please help me out with a spreadsheet, ive been doing my calculation by calculator all this time and im getting pretty sick of it!
ive been trying to make one but im not to good at using Excel an even worse doing the formulas

isnt there one were you calculate the % drops, and that kinda things.... :???: ...

well the predicting the % drops

an X movie does $35.5M and i want to calculate its possible drop for next week......



if you dont know, theres no problem ill figure it out.

Oh so are seperating the columns for a certain movie into weeks. Can I ask if each week uses the same drop multiplier because the way you set up the spreadsheet say that if colum A is for your total for a movie and B is the second week
and third is column C
You will have to do something like
=A1-(A1*.35) into column B
and something like if you need the 3rd week it would be B1-(b1*.35)=c

There, you'll see where you can type what you think it will gross, and what you think it will drop, both options are there.

And results for each will be on right side.

Though, you'll have to type last weekends numbers there as well.

And remember, sheet uses , instead of . --> well, atleast I didn't found a way to use latter.

Ok try now, it should be correct one.

Added daily increases on weekend as well. My best work! If it works that is.

In first row, you just type your predictions, last weekend grosses if you want, and actuals (estimates, projections). Rest is calculated.

In second, last weekend has to be added, and you can type gross, or percentage drop/increase, and results will come on right side for each of those two options.

And in third row, thursday gross is most important. And now just play with fri-sat-sun increases/drops. Nothing to be added in their gross selection, that's calculated.

Basicaly, where ever is zero, those cells are to be typed in. Gross, or drops/increases in %.


Now if someone could remind me what to do if my prediction is twice as big as actual? Getting negative %, so have to type 0% instead.

Well, it'll help me as well.

Btw, as I mentioned above, if your prediction is twice as big as actual/estimate/projection, you'll have to manually type 0% in the cell with result. Otherwise, negative percentage comes out. It's a minor thing.
