Re: Amazing Spiderman 2 Predictions Judging by the poor OW performance here in Oz (granted Spidey has never been as big here) I'd say 100m OW may just be out of reach. Something like 95m/220m is likely.

Re: Amazing Spiderman 2 Predictions I somehow still think Spidey will get past $100m OW. Its marketing has been so much heavier and the awareness is big enough for it to get past $100m.

First Choice: 30 42 40 19 21 Obviously, Spider-Man tracking is one week earlier than CA2, but it's hard to imagine Sony can actually do anything else at this point to raise awareness interest levels. Yeah, despite that one week advantage the total awareness levels are basically the same, and the definite interest/first choice numbers show that no one's particularly jonesing for this. It'll open well thanks to family appeal and being the first major blockbuster in a month, but it's also going to disappear really quickly once the blockbusters with genuine interest start opening.

Re: Amazing Spiderman 2 Predictions It will definitely disappear quickly specially after Godzilla opens. Being the first blockbuster of summer might get it a bigger opening though. Remember tracking numbers are almost always low for this weekend specially for superhero movie openings.
