"A Justice League feature film is not only officially on track today, but has also announced a director. The Wall Street Journal reports that Man of Steel helmer Zack Snyder will make the ensemble blockbuster his followup to 2016's Batman vs. Superman.

“It will be a further expansion of this universe,” Warner Bros. president of worldwide production Greg Silverman tells the outlet. "’Superman vs Batman’ will lead into ‘Justice League.’”

Although no Justice League cast is official at this stage, the project is likely to again star Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg (with a view other JLAers expected to be announced in the future).

The article also offers a slightly less optimistic update on the status of a Wonder Woman solo film, noting that, while the studio is open to the idea, they feel the right script has not yet been found."

Superman Vs. Batman looks to be the official title considering that was what the studio president is calling the film.



Hence why they shoved Batman into his sequel. I am sure they like him because he is a huge studio tool ala the Potter directors.

So they are not going the Marvel route after all? I actually like that better. I'd rather just one continuous series revolving around Superman, but also starring other heroes.

huh. I was kinda expecting them to go with Affleck for director but I guess he hasn't really directed an action flick yet, and starring and directing that probably wouldn't have worked for him maybe.

I think it's quite ridiculous and depressing that we've come to a stage as lazy as "Batman Vs Superman".

I don't particularly like the Captain America franchise but I hope it eats this up.

Zack Snyder could take a shit for 2 hours and it would still be better than The Dark Knight Rises. I'll watch anything he does.

I'm still more excited for The Monarchy (Weinstein) which will team up Michael Sheen's Tony Blair, Meryl Streep's Margaret Thatcher, Helen Mirren's Queen Elizabeth and Naomi Watts' Princess Diana against Richard Nixon (Frank Langella) and his NASA-developed weather machine. I think they're using time travel as a device to get all of these character together.

I still haven't figured out why people hate Snyder.

I mean, people loved 300. And he probably has some of the best action scenes of any current working director.

He's made one crap film. Dude knows how to create an exciting movie.

MAN OF STEEL better than 300 and WATCHMEN? Ha.

I thought Man of Steel was on par with Watchmen. But 300 has the easier road because it's a much more simple story, an almost perfect Zack Snyder vehicle.

300 is garbage and Watchmen is a mess. They're not Sucker Punch though.

Watchmen is by far Snyder's best.

Man of Steel > Watchmen, Sucker Punch and 300.

All good movies.
