There was a trailer of XMDOFP before CA2 the other night. The movie looks boring as shit with multiple timelines.
So when this does just OK numbers and settles somewhere in the middle of all X-Men movies so far (personally $170m-$200m is a fine range for me) this Singer "thing" will come as a perfect excuse for people "rationally" expecting for this to do $250m or $300m or whatever funny sum people are throwing around here.

I wonder if all good directors are a little rapey. Seems odd considering they shouldn't have any problems getting consenting puss/ass. The timing is a little suspicious. Why not release this before Jack or Valkyrie? Because nobody would have given a shit? Oh yeah.
I doubt it will hurt the movie too much though. Now if Hugh Jackman had been accused of the same thing it would have a much bigger effect.

the accusation just came out. if this was closer to trial or someting and Singer was convicted right before, that'd be something. But this is just another Hollywood accusation that may or may not be true. IT will have very minimal impact.
It is just a civil suit, there will never be any criminal charges. Also, the press isn't even covering it. CNN, FOX, and MSNBC haven't said a word today about it. Of course, they are more focused on the Ferry disaster, the missing plane, the pending invasion of Ukraine, and typical political bullshit.

I would imagine there will be a settlement within a week and you'll never hear anything about this again. Singer's sketchiness has been rumored basically forever, but until he's caught doing something red handed I don't think his career is going to suffer that badly.

And if he ever is caught red-handed, he can always direct horror films for Francis Ford Coppola.

It could also get dismissed because of the statue of limitation issue or the Federal court might say it belongs in state court and dismiss it then. Actually, it is hard to win cases like this in Federal Court. Federal judges would rather see these kind of cases in state court.

I don't think they're going to wait that long. This needs to go away immediately.

Regardless of what happens, if more dirt comes out - it's definitely possible that X-Men Apocalypse will have a new director.

the statue of limitation issue and state court issue would be settled pretty quick. It would months if not years if this went to trial. So, it won't hurt DOFP, especially with the press showing what they think of the story. Of course, it could hurt Singer's career, but that would only happen if other people come up like in the Kevin Cash case.

Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past 100% over First Class Total C
One thing that's interesting is that there are probably a whole lot of Singer's friends (actors, other directors, etc) who really want this to go away, too. People like Kevin Spacey, Taylor Kitsch, etc. who are rumored to be regulars at his parties. Even if they have zero to do with the sketchiness, they certainly don't want to end up on a witness stand.

What's funny is that everyone in Hollywood knew about this, so if they feign outrage they're all bullshitting. I have a number of friends who were taken advantage of by Singer, and all were very young.
tell me how routh got the role. and most of the xmen cast. and kevin spacey.

It sounds like this guy has made these claims against other people before and tried to sue two other guys a few years ago. He even went to the police accusing some and the police said it was lies. I think the guy is full of shit and just suing hoping Singer will settle to make it go away.

Perhaps it's all lies but I'll boycott the movie anyway just to be on the safe side.

If they can prove Singer was not in Hawaii but in Toronto than the plaintiff is screwed, and hell he should be charged with perjury. I think this guy has just had a crappy life and is trying to get some easy money.

Wow the TV spots during the playoffs have been awful. Just generic narration favored over any attempt to explain the story. This is a bad time to start losing momentum!

Is there an "X-Men Days of Future Past Predictions" thread 'cause I only find clubs and I would like to post my prediction
