$300m is still achievable but not $360m that Flava predicted.

DOFP will most definitely increase 100% over FC.

Anybody else see this TV spot?

It is pretty good and has some new footage.

While completely understandable, the 1500% increase in the amount of Mystique in the marketing compared to the last film is pretty funny.

lol yeah, of course Lawrence being a superstar helps. It does look like she will play a major role in the film by causing the sentinels.

nope but I have seen that ad and yeah it is very random. This link is a tv spot that aired on Spike the other night during Superman Returns. It basically shows character trailer, showing different mutants in action. Thre is a poor quality one here

BO.com predicts $103m for a $221m total for it right now.

Quote:
X-Men: Days of Future Past
(20th Century Fox)

PROS:

- It's the only major blockbuster opening during Memorial Day weekend, and that's a huge advantage.
- Fans of the franchise reacted very well to X-Men: First Class, so we're betting that a lot of that goodwill is going to carry over.
- Combining two very popular casts is an intriguing decision that looks like it's going pay off quite well.
- Activity on Facebook and Twitter is very encouraging.

CONS:

- The relatively underwhelming $417 million global haul of 2013's The Wolverine has us a little worried.
- The summer season is typically crowded. If The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and/or Godzilla overperform it could have an adverse impact on Days of Future Past.

Yeah the biggest overseas gross of the series is stupid. Add in an extra 100 million from Domestic and more OS increase 600 seems to be a good bet. Thor and MOS WW numbers would be terrific.

Yeah I think it can do at least 600 million WW, best case is 800 million if everything went right. It also had a nice spot with Walking Dead last night that should help with its marketing.

In. The latest trailer is really make me feel $300 million, or close enough to make this club a success.

Will negative publicity surrounding Singer hurt XMDOFP?

I'm sure the movie's done by now if they're releasing it next month? I don't know how late post production goes up to.

The situation is buzz destroying, can probably declare this club a failure.

unless more comes out no because the major media won't cover it. Fox won't report on it for obvious reasons, MSNBC being very liberal, pro-gay, and close to Hollywood will ignore it, concentrating on anti-republican stories, and CNN won't cover it unless it is connected somehow to the missing plane. Only us geeks will hear about it, the general public won't really know about it.

What's funny is that everyone in Hollywood knew about this, so if they feign outrage they're all bullshitting. I have a number of friends who were taken advantage of by Singer, and all were very young.

From what I heard they are pretty much legal, and this stuff is pretty common in Hollywood. It is more sexual harassment than rape.

All of my friends were legal, but Singer definitely likes his boys to be in their late teens. It's not at all surprising that one could turn out to be 17.

Of course, any sort of defamation timed for maximum career impact is suspect.

This lawyer has a history of this and after reading an article on CNN, I don't think this goes to trial. It is past the federal statue of limitations. They are trying to go around that by filing in Hawaii since they have a temporary suspension of that there. But since they are filing in Federal Court, I don't think they can go around it. In the end, I don't think this hurts the movie any since the trial won't probably be happening for months, years, if at all. Any considering the press fascination of the missing plane, and the very likely Russian invasion of Ukraine, I doubt this gets any major press coverage.

The kid in question is 32 now. There's a limit no matter what, so really nothing can be done but to embarrass Singer. The Hawaii stuff will never pan out. I doubt it'll hurt the film's success.

I'm sure all righteous fanboys will be boycotting the new X-Men movie, displaying consistency with their outrage regarding Ender's Game author Orson Scott Card, Mel Gibson, etc.

Singer maintaining a coterie of beautiful young men (interested in career aid in return) is definitely old news. It is often alluded to when fans disagree with a creative decision: "Brandon Routh must have given the best head," etc., etc.
