 Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Captain America: The Winter Soldier Quote: Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and battles a new threat from old history: the Soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier. If ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN, THE DARK KNIGHT, and CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER had a passionate night together, and nine months later a beautiful baby was born with nobody being quite sure who the father is, that baby would be THE WINTER SOLDIER. It's dark. It's visceral (Captain America stabs a knife through a guy's hand just so he won't pull a fire alarm). It's heavily political and kids probably aren't going to like it much. But it's easily Marvel's best sequel and completely changes the MCU in preparation for AGE OF ULTRON.

I very much liked the first Captain America movie, but it began much stronger than it finished.

Is that your not-so-subtle way to tell us that you have seen Transcendence?

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Saw it today. It is easily the best movie by Marvel so far. Awesome set pieces and screenplay is excellent. Only minus point of action scenes is the use of shaky cam during hand to hand combat. Otherwise the action is easily the best I have seen in a long time. Evans is excellent as rogers/CA, while SJ is competent as usual. Mackie as Falcon is much better than cheadle in IM movies. Redford is a good addition as well.I think this one will have stronger legs than Thor 2 or IM3 for sure. I am thinking 90/250 is possible.

I think we should all be required to make a list with our reviews. So I know if you liked the first CA.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
If you generally don't like comic book crap and therefore dislike the first Captain America, that is fairly sensible. If you do have a taste for comic book crap but you still got nothing out of the first Captain America, something is probably [definitely] wrong with you.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
This was all kinds of awesome. I enjoyed the hell out of it. It's fast paced, has a nice story, it's funny and dear lord, Captain America finally kicks ass the way it's actually exciting. My jaw dropped on the floor more than one time because of some of his moves. Those director brothers sure know how to film great action. Evans was rock-solid and worked very well with Johansson. The addition of Anthony Mackie and Emily VanCamp (who I guess will be much more prominent in future sequels) was very nice too and Redford was a great villain.
I have nothing bad to say about this movie. I really liked the first one but couldn't get myself very excited for this one, expecting it to be more boring than anything else. Boy, was I wrong.
