They are building sets on the old fort overlooking the city.

Shit. They're actually filming a shitload of scenes in Croatia this year. I've just read an article naming all the locations. And there are a lot of them. Hopefully that means they will be coming back in the following years too

So I did it! I was there for 3 very long, but so fucking amazing days.

It was very sunny all three days, but the wind was blowing hard, so all the slaves were freezing to death. But despite all that I've had a blast. The crew is really great and lovely. They were spraying us like crazy for us not to get sunburned (and despite that a lot of people did), the hair and make-up crew were constantly fixing us up, we had lots of food, water and basically they provided everything.

WARNING! Possible spoilers ahead (but nothing big).

I've had some trouble the first day as my first costume wasn't there. It was missing. So I got one of the Unsullied Slave costumes they were using earlier but they weren't to be used again. The first day was really hard as I had to get up at 3:30 AM, and I got home at 7 PM. We we're filming the scene when Dany crucifies the Slave Masters (the first couple of days in Split they we're filming the taking of Meereen when Dany sends Unsullied disguised as Slaves to rouse up the rebellion).

On the second day we were back at Klis Fort to continue the same scene. It was easier to get up at 3:30 AM this time around and easier to work until 7 PM. On the second day they were mostly filming the dialogue scenes when Dany orders to have the Slave Masters killed, the scene where freed slaves welcome her while she walks among them and they throw their collars under her feet.

On the third day, we changed to location to a clearing on Biokovo Mountain. And it was an easier day because we filmed from 5 AM to about 6:30 PM. When I got there I was surprised to see that my second costume somehow appeared there, but I was so happy to see it. Most of the morning we spent in a nearby hotel because the wind was blowing really hard and it was way too freezing, and because most of us were shivering hard by the end of the previous day (apparently we could get some kind of a raise because of the conditions, but I'm not sure if some of the extras made that up on set or if it's an actual information from someone from the crew), the producers didn't want us on the mountain until the wind stopped, and luckily it did very soon. They were filming two scenes parallel, each on one side of the clearing. One was when Dany commands her army to attack the Meereen. The other one was in a camp with freed slaves, Second Sons and her Dothraki's but I'm not sure where in the timeline that part fits (she has a fight with Daario and walks away furiously).

Overall I think that the scenes filmed here will look amazing. They really chose great locations. The local production team told us that GoT crew was more than satisfied with the people here and they decided to film as much as they can here next year. If I understood things correctly they planned to go somewhere else as they won't film in Morocco anymore (apparently they had lot of shit on the set from local people there) and this was supposed to be a one off until they find different place, but I'm glad they loved it and are coming back. And from what I could see they filmed scenes for at least two episodes here. I'm sure one is episode 4, and I'm not sure what the other one is. Also two directors were here. One was Michelle MacLaren and the other one was Alex Graves. Both Benioff & Weiss were apparently there on the second day, but I myself didn't see them.

P.S. I love the look of new Daario Naharis. I like him much more than the original one. And Emilia Clarke is so fucking cute!!!!!
