 Re: Top 10 of 2013
It's funny, Algren probably would say me putting The Wolf of Wall Street in this top 10 is predictable, but if I had hated it he'd tell me how predictable I was for not liking a movie that has fairly poor treatment of female characters and is all about bros and parties and excess or something (because a large portion of this forum seems to be under the impression I hate men or something, which is such a joke that should be part of a longer rant about how annoying it is when people assume you DO HATE MEN because you're a feminist...if I hated men I'd be a lesbian you idiots, not to mention I usually have more fun hanging out with guys than other girls).
So I can't win really.

Good-bye: The Way, Way Back
It's a good year for movies when a film like The Way, Way Back can be knocked off the list.
Edit: Moved TWoWS in the #2 slot, because the more I think about it, the more I love it.

So I can't win really. That's actually incorrect. I knew you would love The Wolf of Wall Street. If you had actually hated it, then you would see me surprised. Your taste is the most predictable out of all the members here at WOKJ. Take that however you like, but I don't necessarily see it as a negative. Well, not unless you aspire to be a contrarian like Bradley Witherberry, which I'm pretty sure you don't.

I'd argue that MY taste in movies is the most predictable.
Case in point... I will love American Hustle/WoWS/Walter Mitty.

Also in the interim, I have added Philomena and Thor: The Dark World to the list as well. And, of course, I retain great faith that Spike Jonze will deliver big time with Her when I eventually see it.

 Re: Top 10 of 2013
For a guy that likes Japanese box office, you don't have any Japanese movies in your Top 10..or did you simply leave them out because you know people here have no idea about them?

I haven't seen too many yet from this past year. Of the handful I have watched, I wouldn't put them in my top 10. Maybe One Piece Film Z, but it was released in Dec. 2012. There are many I want to see that could make my Top 10 though: The Wind Rises (incredibly likely), The Great Passage, Like Father, Like Son, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, The Eternal Zero. The first three are probably online somewhere, but I'll wait for higher quality versions.

Me too. I want to see The Eternal Zero, but it is unlikely to get in my Top 10. I also want to see Beyond Outrage. Will that get a Japanese release?
