Michael Fassbender (12 Years a Slave)
Bradley Cooper (American Hustle)
Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club)
James Gandolfini (Enough Said)
Daniel Brühl (Rush)
Thinking Jonah Hill might be snubbed. Hard to pintpoint the likely frontrunner. I'm thinking Leto.

Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013 I believe Abdi is strong in the race. The narrative has clearly connected: the unknown Somali actor who improbably finds his way into a big-budget Hollywood film and holds his own against Tom Hanks.

Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013 This category remains a clusterfuck. Although I think the possible nominees have been narrowed to 6 (Leto, Fassbender, Gandolfini, Cooper, Abdi, Bruhl) with the possibility of Will Forte sneaking in.
I'm fairly certain Jared Leto will win the Oscar at this point, though.
