 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013
I'm still predicting a Gandolfini nomination. I think the sentiment is there and Enough Said overperformed with critics and at the box office.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013
My updated predictions:
Michael Fassbender (12 Years a Slave) Bradley Cooper (American Hustle) Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) James Gandolfini (Enough Said) Daniel Brühl (Rush)
Thinking Jonah Hill might be snubbed. Hard to pintpoint the likely frontrunner. I'm thinking Leto.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013
Brühl is not going to be nominated. Will Forte has a better chance.

^ Well...
I don't really think Cooper will get in anymore. I think these might match the SAG noms 5/5.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013
I believe Cooper will get in. American Hustle's momentum is building and building.
I do not, however, believe Jonah Hill will be a two-time Oscar nominee just yet.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013
It will be Abdi, Cooper, Fassbender, Leto, and then either Brühl or Gandolfini, in my opinion.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013
I still think it'll be the SAG line-up, but if someone misses, it'll be the least known of the bunch - Abdi.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013
I believe Abdi is strong in the race. The narrative has clearly connected: the unknown Somali actor who improbably finds his way into a big-budget Hollywood film and holds his own against Tom Hanks.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013
Well, Brühl plays a famous real-life person and ejoys full endoresement by that very person. Rush wll do well among the Brits in the Academy.
And Gandolfini's dead. That a very strong argument.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013
This category remains a clusterfuck. Although I think the possible nominees have been narrowed to 6 (Leto, Fassbender, Gandolfini, Cooper, Abdi, Bruhl) with the possibility of Will Forte sneaking in.
I'm fairly certain Jared Leto will win the Oscar at this point, though.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013
It will be Bradley Cooper winning, with Gandolfini, Bruhl, Leto and Abdi missing out as only nominees.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013
Bradley winning for Hustle? No Sir. Leto is closing in on lock status. He should be preparing his speech or maybe he'll just wing it each time. Leto would be my choice for BSA anyway. --- I wish that Will Forte could have gotten in this category. I thought he was great in Nebraska.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2013
Cooper should win.
That being said, I did love Forte in Nebraska as well and he most definitely deserves a nomination.

I'm beginning to think Franco could very well get nominated here.

I think we'll get a surprise nomination here. Don't think it'll be Franco but I hope I'm wrong!

I think the Top 6 looks VERY solid.
