I saw Bad Company opening weekend in theaters. I actually enjoyed it enough when it came out. Such a dud though, Bruckheimer made like 12 bit hits in a row from 95-01

It wasn't his first, his first was for Gods and Monsters. I always found his nomination for fellowship so random, nowadays you never see people without a globe nomination nominated anymore.

A correction: John Travolta's count needs to be reduced by 1, because I was incorrect and Grease did not open at #1. It opened at #2 (Jaws 2 was #1) - I got mixed up because it held #1 for 15 of the next 16 weekends. It increased on its second weekend to claim #1, but it didn't open at #1.

Tom Cruise is king of the #1 opening.
