 Re: The Hangover: Part III
I didn't even find McCarthy's scenes to be that funny. This was the best of the trilogy and underrated. Though I think all three are pretty much on the same level, I just prefer this one a bit.

 Re: The Hangover: Part III
The bad reception definitely lowered my expectations, so it ended being a decently enjoyable rental. The mood is definitely different for the better, and I actually enjoyed the somewhat surprising story line.

The Hangover: Part III
Having seen the first but not the second, I decided to watch Part III anyway, and I liked it, apart from a few things. Chow (Ken Jeong) is by far the worst character ever in a motion picture - where he constantly refers to himself in the third person, my God, that was immensely annoying. The ending was quite crap too. Mr. Chow should have died and John Goodman should have lived. Stu (Ed Helms) was useless, although I did enjoy his banter with Alan (Galifianakis), and Phil (Cooper) was as cool as level-headed as ever. Jamie Chung and Heather Graham were smoking hot, and Melissa McCarthy was so-so, but I hate that fat piece of trash.
The movie was not funny (apart from a few lines here and there), but I didn't want it to be. I was just glad to get a few hours of throw-away entertainment. I liked the Caesar's Palace roof-penthouse suite dropdown -- that was quite tense. I don't remember too much about The Hangover apart from the fact that I liked it, but I would say that this is the better movie.
