If it's done right as I believe this has chances to reach 800m

But yeah, anyone that doesn't think this will at least make the all time Top 3 when this opens, whatever that is, is nuts. Why? Isn't it all under the assumption that Episode VII will be a good movie? What if it isn't? The anticipation is not on the same level as it was with Episode I, mainly because not as much time as passed and there was no sour prequels-taste back then. What if the movie is merely okay? I mean by the time it is released, the Top 3 threshold could very well be at $650 million. I think it is reaching to predict any film to be a lock for $650 million domestically.

Should be an Epic Year
TA 2 and SW7 are going to make combined 1 billion domestic or more.

So, you do not think there is even a 0.0001% chance that this might make $1.9b, let alone disappoint and make only $900m? It could easily disappoint just like it could also make just $1.4b. Calling it a lock for anything, let alone a HUGE figure like $2b, is idiotic.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan but seriously? You guys are way over blowing the potential for this lol It will be big, but I doubt it will make over $500 million.

Re: Star Wars - Episode VII - Predictions
This will be the most over predicted movie of 2015. I am thinking it will make around unadjusted numbers of Sith. I just dont see SW creating the same buzz as what PM created in 99. Plus prequels overall has not aged well.
I would say 110/375 for now.

Remember when everyone was saying The Phantom Menace would beat Titanic to become the biggest film domestically?
Yeah.

Honestly, these sub-500m predictions are hilarious. Quoted for future joy.
