All but #6 would go into that "masterpiece" category for me. (kidding) I hope that you watch it again and please read the review that I just posted. where is this supposed review? I'm interested.

Re: Rank GOD a.k.a. Ingmar Bergman
01. Fanny and Alexander 02. Persona 03. The Silence 04. The Seventh Seal 05. The Virgin Spring 06. Hour of the Wolf 07. Through a Glass Darkly 08. Smiles of a Summer Night 09. Cries and Whispers 10. Shame 11. Wild Strawberries 12. Winter Light 13. Sawdust and Tinsel 14. From the Life of the Marionettes 15. Autumn Sonata 16. The Magician 17. The Passion of Anna 18. The Rite 19. The Serpent's Egg
I'd say the top 15 are all really good, the top 10 all great, and the top 5 all masterpieces.

Scenes From A Marriage isn't his most poignant, but it might be his best.

I'm going to watch my first Bergman sometime this week. It's going to be either Scenes From A Marriage or The Seventh Seal.

Re: Rank GOD a.k.a. Ingmar Bergman
You're not a Bergman fan?
Well, so far...
1. Scenes From A Marriage ~B It has some pretty strong moments, the dialogue and both actors are great, but overall this is just too damn long and it gets pretty tiring after awhile. And I just saw the 170 minute version. Maybe it works better when watching this as mini-series.

Re: Rank GOD a.k.a. Ingmar Bergman
I feel like I should know this based on yr top hundred and other posts but my memory is terrible and I can't figure out who the third director would be. Kubrick has to be one of em, but I'm stuck on the other. Hitch would be the obvious guess.. But I dunno how much you've seen and can't remember him featuring heavily in the list.
