Asia looks lot weaker and we still dont have Latin America numbers. Europe looks to be its strongest market. Seems its behaving opposite of most SH movies. Thor being based on norse mythology adds greater potential to european gross.

Re: Thor: The Dark World (INTL)
I think it can hit at least 500M overseas, and a worldwide total near 800M. Avengers boost. Plus also featuring the villain from The Avengers helps.
Captain America 2 won't do anywhere close to as well as this.

I think 400-500 OS, Domestic will be tougher with HG taking the majority of it's audience to really increase much.
220 Domestic 450 OS
670 WW

Re: Thor: The Dark World (INTL)
400 million is locked overseas and looks like it will beat MOS WW.
AS IRON Man 3 made more overseas then Iron Man 2 WW..
Looks like Thor will make more overseas then Thor 1 did WW.

The U.K. led with $13.4 million, followed by France with $9.4 million, Mexico with $8.2 million and Brazil in $8.1 million. Major territories where Thor 2 isn't opening this weekend include China, Japan, Italy and Argentina. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/b ... rld-652785

Compared to the OWs for the first film, those aren't THAT big of increases, outside of the UK.

Re: Thor: The Dark World (INTL)
Good to see the TA effect still going strong and I see no reason why it should slow down anytime soon. Captain America 2 is up next, but obviously it won't do as well as Thor 2.

Even Taiwan/Malaysia/Singapore has shown huge increases(more than double). Spain OW is lower by 25%( 5.5 to 4.1).

Re: Thor: The Dark World (INTL)
TA effect is strong overseas.
China opening is 15 million in 2 days.
Thats more then Thor 1 total.
Looks like as TA and Im3 did the legs for the film are strong in developing markets.

Re: Thor: The Dark World (INTL)
Gitesh Pandya predicts 700m worldwide but I think that is unreasonable. It is already playing in 92% of the market
