Four Weddings is definitely one of my favorite romantic comedies.

And though not surprising, I am super glad to see Mad Max. :) Such an awesome trilogy. I consider the first two genre masterpieces, and I also have a great deal of affection for Thunderdome despite its more flawed nature.

The Green Mile is a fantastic movie and will be much higher on my list. Great to see it included though. The Rock will probably make my list as well. I also enjoy You've Got Mail, Magnolia, and Minority Report, though none of those will likely make my list.

FYI, I'm hoping a few of my movies end up being unique choices that people appreciate. Being so far down the list of posting though, these movie keep getting posted by one other person. I'm sensing a Tom Hanks fanboy in Riggs. I'm hoping my highest ranked one doesn't make Riggs list so it's unique to mine...

Another match, and it's one that wasn't mentioned before: Le Pacte des Loups. I'm starting to like this Riggs fella.

I just finished watching Apocalypto again and I put it way too low on my list. After the great opening 20 minutes it's one hell of a ride and doesn't let you rest for a second.

Wow you are flying through this, down to the 30s before I can even change the title lol. Sorry bout that.

Great list so far. Lots of love for the matches, especially Bay's magnum opus Bad Boys 2.

And I only see one movie worth booing. Booooo Magnolia boooo. PTA's worst by far.

The Beach falls a bit short of the power of the novel, but I still love it. I have a fair amount of nostalgia for it, too. I remember being excited to see Leo's first major role after his crazy 1996-98 rise to mega-stardom. It also started me on a Danny Boyle kick, including hunting down Shallow Grave and Trainspotting at my now closed local video store, which led to him becoming one of my all-time favorite directors. And I played the CD (Blur! New Order! Richard Ashcroft! Underworld!) to death.

Curious, how do you feel about A Life Less Ordinary (if you've seen it)?

As expected, Riggs' list has a lot of matchesn with films that I love.

That being said, I am pretty sure during the next 5-10 years a time won't come that I'll feel ready to compile a list of my own.

I enjoy parts of it, such as Ewan McGregor's performance and the music, but it is my least favorite of Boyle's oeuvre.

I was thinking the same when I saw it on your list.

Gibson should focus on directing instead of Machete Kills type fare.
