Well, nobody can predict the future. Thought that would be very obvious from people on a box office prediction board.

true, but most humans can predict travel plans. Usually plane tickets have an arrival and departure date I mean shit, you were in flight from Japan to London for the half the trip. When you take away driving, meals, sleeping, etc you were really only gone like 20 minutes.

The last thing I will say on this is...it's not always easy to predict whether one will have Internet access while travelling. I am still "travelling".

Clearly you don't travel enough then. Unless you're traveling the world by fanboat, wireless internet is pretty easy to come by nowadays, even in South America an Africa.
Last five were pretty good Magnus. I feel like Drive isn't old enough to be so high though. Ugh, and Days of Heaven and Thin Red Line. I never took you for such a Malick lover. Badlands has to be on this list.

Apocalypse Now is not the greatest Vietnam War movie.
I love Le Samouraï, but prefer Le cercle rouge.

Great choice with Apocalypse, great film. Not sure it's the best about Vietnam either, but it is the best film with Vietnam in it.
I think my top 5 would be
Apocalypse, Deer Hunter, Born on the 4th of July, Rescue Dawn, and Platoon. With Full metal Jacket and We Were soldiers very solid too.
What's your pick Dave?

I really need to watch Miller's Crossing. Still a pretty bad list so far. I wonder when he will choose a good movie. The wait continues..

How have you not seen 78 films on my list?
I'm not sure I've come across a film I haven't seen yet, on all four lists. Now I have to go back.
McCabe is an interesting choice. Definitely a wonderful film though.
