I really don't think age has got much to do with it besides them not being aimed at kids. Teenagers, sure, but they are not aimed at kids at all. He's an action hero! Rocky's pacing might be a little slow for todays youth, but I think they'd still love the final act and immediately want to be Rocky. I doubt that under-tens can follow whatever the fuck is going on in Transformers (I don't think you've seen them, but they're all 150 minutes+ with overly complex plotlines), yet that doesn't matter. Rocky is just a heroic story that anybody can relate to. That's what I'm not understand about you're argument. Why does CGI automatically make a movie less worthy? You know The Hobbit had more CGI than Thor, and you gave that an A+. Must be a Chinese thing.

 Re: Thor
I've seen all the Transformers movies, and children love them because they like explosions and action - they're not following the story.
I'm English, I live in China and my wife is Chinese.

 Re: Thor
I actually liked it a little more than Captain America. And Hemsworth was really good, great casting.

 Re: Thor
Pretty decent. Fairly painless for this kind of movie. I'm not usually crazy about superhero movies. I'll probably get around to Captain America and The Avengers at some point.
Am actually interested in the sequel for this. Seems good.

If you thought this was "pretty decent", then you're going to fucking love Captain America and The Avengers. See them as soon as possible. This is drivel.

 Re: Thor
I like Thor a lot. Probably my 4th-favorite of the Avengers-lot (after Iron Man, The Avengers and Iron Man 3).

My cousin told me Captain America was really good too. I didn't think it seemed that good personally but she said it was better than Thor. I will watch it sometime soon.

*1/2 out of *****
Like Beauty and the Beast, but slashed of 95% of the character development and plot. Everything just felt so rushed and underdeveloped.

 Re: Thor
Probably the best Marvel film of the first four. It's not as generic as Hulk or Iron Man 2, and it's more fun than Iron Man. The characters are hit or miss. The finale is actually pretty good with the breaking of the bridge. Everything does not end happy, and that's one of the film's strengths.

 Re: Thor
Focuses so much on world building that it forgets to introduce characters outside of Thor. The love story is pretty much unbelievable and there are many repititive scenes of Thor on earth. The finale also does not live to what has been shown before that or for a god-like battle. The world building though is amazing here.
