 LinkedIn - Good or bad?
Do you guys know if when you apply for a job on LinkedIn, if your current connections can see that you have applied for this job?
I ask because it seems that every move I make, including to look at someones profile, is somehow recorded and presented in feeds etc.
I want to apply for a job I have seen, but I don't obviously want my current manager and CEO to see that I am applying for other jobs, especially since I really like working where I am now - I'm just testing the water to see if I can walk on it.

 Re: LinkedIn question
As a person who avoids LinkedIn like the PLAGUE, I have no idea.
Avoid LinkedIn.

 Re: LinkedIn question
LinkedIn is annoying how people exaggerate (to the max) their position. I LOATHE this.
But I recently joined. So I'm going to try and make the most of it.

 Re: LinkedIn question
LinkedIn is good.
Head hunters and recruiters basically live off it these days - making there jobs ridiculously easy.
I've been contacted by a number of head hunters/recruiters over the last couple of years (though changed jobs due to other contacts not on LinkedIn) - but its good to have that easy networking option.
Plus a good way to keep in contact and network with people who aren't close but are good contacts to have (instead of Facebook etc).

 Re: LinkedIn question
Yes, I use LinkedIn for professional acquaintances, and Facebook for all of the other shit, and I really mean shit - I litter Facebook with tons of stuff, as does everybody else.

Re: LinkedIn - Good or bad?
Yeah same here - that's why LinkedIn is great - potential employers don't see all the shit!!
