 Elisabeth Hasselbeck leaves The View for Fox News Welp, this seems like a natural "progression." Quote: It’s official: Elisabeth Hasselbeck has found a new home. The conservative co-host of ABC’s The View and former Survivor contestant is joining Fox News.
Hasselbeck will be added to the couch of the popular morning show Fox & Friends, joining Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade in mid-September. She’ll replace current co-host Gretchen Carlson, who will anchor a one-hour daytime program beginning in early fall.
“Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View,” said Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes in a statement. “She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise … Gretchen’s contribution to Fox & Friends is well-known and her strong interviewing skills make her a natural fit for our daytime programming.”
Hasselbeck’s last day on The View is tomorrow. She joined the show in 2003. ABC’s Barbara Walters said in a statement: “We have had ten wonderful years with Elisabeth and she will now be swimming in new waters. We will miss her and wish her everything good.”

It's really no different than "news" with their guests who comment on topics of the day. Not that I'm a regular watcher as that's never been the case simply because it's been on at 10:00 in the morning. Today was Elizabeth's last day btw. I did see that as I had the day off.
