Just out of curiosity, does that mean lucas Black will be in #7
I doubt it... but why not!? He could add a little something extra, and he's not doing anything else.

He was good in 42, though He looks like he aged like twice as much as the years would suggest.

Re: Fast & Furious 6
Watching all 5 in the last week definitely made this a better experience. I loved this one, I thought it was a blast. As a film for this series, this is an A+.
And I guess 2F2F was good for one thing; Tyrese and Ludacris were actually enjoyable in this one.
I'd rank them like this.
1. Fast & Furious 6 2. Fast Five 3. The Fast and the Furious 4. Tokyo Drift 5. Fast & Furious 6. 2 Fast 2 Furious

This was so much fucking fun. Seriously, Iron Man 3 and Star Trek Into Darkness wish they were this much fun. Obviously it's not an AMAZING movie, but good lord did I have a blast.
8/10

You had so much "fucking fun" ... yet it's not an amazing movie?
I cannot comprehend this. If a movie gives me so much fun, to me this is an amazing movie. Movies aren't ever meant to make me cry and get depressed. If one is fun, then it's done its job and is an amazing movie.
There's really no other way around it.

Have you ever seen 21 Grams, Irreversible or Requiem for a Dream?

Yes, I love Algren, but absurd statement. The reflection inspired by and the catharsis produced by sad movies can be just as powerful as the sense of adventure or joviality created by fun movies.

Oh god, Algren would have a field day with Irreversible. LOL "she was asking to get raped. Did you see the shirt she was wearing? Dumb bitch got what she deserved!"

I watched this with my friends and they loved it but one said it was too perdictable and we should have Watched Hangover 3 .... lolz.
Anyway, the movie is a lot of fun and very entertaining but the movie does not hit the high's of Fast Five which amoung the general audiences is seen as a great action film.
This film has action scenes that are really fun and it was nice to have some car racing again, but the movie drags a bit with the story and plot twists go from being mindless in Fast Five to making zero sense in Fast Six.
It is a Fast and Furious movie but they should make the plot a bit more reasonable sometimes.
7.5/10.
Even so I will watch this a few more times at home, when Vin Picked up the guy and the Rock Clotheslined him!! OMG!

The middle drags a bit but this is an entertaining enough summer blockbuster. Tyrese is great comic relief and the ensemble is just as good as in Fast Five though I'd rank that film a bit higher in terms of first place for the series.
1. Fast Five 2. Furious Six 3. The Fast & The Furious 4. Fast & Furious 5. 2 Fast 2 Furious 6. Tokyo Drift

I'm bumping this to an A-. I forgot Paul Walker had a cool fight scene in the prison. I can't wait to watch it again on blu-ray.

Re: Fast & Furious 6
http://www.chud.com/137702/mark-palermo-film-jam/ The co-writer of Detention uses Furious 6's bloat to discuss a trend I do believe Bradley has very astutely observed - how so many movies seem compelled to be longer to be more epic, without a clear sense of how to fill the space.
I did like Fast Six, but it was also somewhat exhausting. I think The Raid is the most efficiently-paced action movie in recent years, and I can't remember how that movie's Mad Dog character is dispatched in this. Did love watching him kick the shit out of Tyrese... And yet Tyrese is actually one of the better 'actors' in this film. At one point in my career I was a Vin Diesel apologist. Then I grew up. At least he's better than Paul Walker (whose subplot is completely redundant fan-wank) and the much-discussed black hole that is Gina Carano.

Re: Fast & Furious 6
Before this film, Fast Five almost by default was my favorite Fast and Furious. I haven’t seen the original The Fast and The Furious or Tokyo Drift. 2 Fast 2 Furious and Fast & Furious are unremarkable. Fast Five however supercharges the action to a “This is as big and ridiculous as possible and you love it” and introduces the Rock, making it the standout film.
But Fast & Furious 6 is even better, for these reasons….
Personal stakes
The Leddy plot adds a personal element, romanticism and heart to the series. The Dom and Leddy streetrace and conversation after, is a great scene for reasons beyond the action. Han’s storyline also has personal stakes. This is a stronger character film than the other F&Fs I’ve seen. The best action
Furious 6 is a step up from even Fast Five in this area. The chase introducing Shaw, the ambush ending in the subway station, the tank sequence and the runway climax, are just AWESOME action scenes – as good as it gets for blockbuster action scenes. The talented Justin Lin just keeps getting better at directing these scenes. The justification behind these scenes is “What would be coolest?” – and I say that complimentary.
Great villain
Shaw is the most memorable villain of the series of the entries I’ve seen. He’s charismatic, cunning, a real challenge to Dom’s crew and his commitment to precision gives him an intriguing layer. He’s a lot of fun. Deep cast of characters
Vin Diesel’s Dom and The Rock’s Hobb do their usual good stuff. Michelle Rodriguez holds her own as Leddy. Tyrese and Ludacris are funny. Han is likable. Shaw brings it for reasons mentioned. Gina Carreno is fine. There is a lot of characters to like in this. Paul Walker’s Brian is who gets lost in the shuffle, nevertheless the series needs him in it to feel the same.
A great film
This is about as good as one can make a Fast & Furious film, from the action, to the characters and plot to the humor. Reaching its full potential. Bring on the next.

Re: Fast & Furious 6
Its solid but also way too ridiculous even for this series. Non of the sequels have come close to being as good as the original - because that was grounded in being a street racing flick first and foremost and hence was the better for it. Still its an enjoyable film.
My ranking
1. The Fast and the Furious 2. Furious Six 3. Fast Five 4. Fast n Furious 5. Tokyo Drift 6. 2Fast 2Furious
Now in regards to the credits scene, can someone please help me with the following... Tokyo drift spoilers..
In Tokyo drift (been a long time since Ive seen it) - Han dies. How exactly was he killed? I cant seem to remember but Im pretty sure the Statham angle in Furious Six overrides how he was killed in Drift??

Here is the Tokyo Drift scene
I can't imagine they were planning it that far back, but it does work perfectly in retrospect.

Completely agree re: Statham set-up being the best since the Joker cards at the end of BB. The end of Fast Five was also good too (though that also promised Eve Mendes too!)

Thanks Flav'd - extremely well tied in actually. They closed the loop and then set-up an epic showdown - revenge fuelled Statham chases down the pack who are all happy back at home.
They couldn't go with the "one more mission" type storyline. This one will have the mayhem come to them - so likely a show down in LA or atleast North America.

Yep.Though you can't beat Batman Begins in that respect. I don't think a single film has ever made me yearn for a sequel as much as Batman Begins did at the end. Perfect perfect ending, that was.

It has actually been confirmed to be set in LA.
