Re: Game of Thrones:Season 3
I just think that most events that take place in the free cities are boring. I love the happenings with the Ironborn the best

I liked the Iron Born chapters, the Martels are boring lol. I am sure those chapters will be cut down.

I just couldn't get into their story beyond the Red Viper.

That might have been the funniest Game of Thrones ever. Loras . Sam seems like he's having the time of his life out there. And also one of the most thrilling. Climbing the wall.

Seems like they are using Gendry in place of Edric Storm.

Re: Game of Thrones:Season 3
Littlefinger was just evil in that scene. No more Roz, I am sure fans jumped for joy there. The wall scene was thrillin,g and I loved the Arya scene with Melisandre, especially with the hints of the future. Also, this episode was very focused on Jon Snow, which I enjoyed. It is nice to see him finally get some screen time. And is it just me or is Bran just a cameo this scene. I guess there just isn't much to do with at the moment.

Having not read the third book, Theo is absolutely getting punked. Holy crap! I still don't know who is doing it to him, but he sure is quite the psycho.
Another great episode. Not so staggering as the previous two, but still done quite well.

The Queen of Thorns and Tywin Lannister in the same scene, interacting the way they did, was pure gold. Both actors are amazing in their roles, and the characters just play off each other so damn well.

Re: Game of Thrones:Season 3
Yeah to me both Dance and Rigg deserve nominations. I wouldn't be shocked if Emilla Clarke got one this season either. Right now I think GOT could be the favorite for the emmy depending on how the last 4 episodes are.

yeah I would love for Dance to get nods but I don't think he has enough screen time to be submitted to the board. Conleth Hill, Charles Dance, and Maisie Williams have been great so far.

Re: Game of Thrones:Season 3
The season is becoming my favorite so far.
The only downside, for me, is Theon's storyline. I haven't read this far in the series yet and I know they've changed the story involving him, but either way his story is dragging now and I don't think the reveal of what's actually happening will be interesting enough now since I doubt it happens before Episode 9.

Is anyone else worried that the Red Wedding isn't going to have the impact it should? Show-Robb kinda has it coming at this point. I honestly think people will be more upset about Tywin.

I don't think Robb seems that much of a jerk, just young and inexperienced.

Re: Game of Thrones:Season 3
Pretty boring episode save for the bear pit fight. A lot of fillers that were not in the book especially the Theon stuff. I'm still very upset that they took out the whole Reek storyline in place of that mundane torture stuff that happens offscreen. Once again, the worst episode since episode 2 of season 3. Incidently, those two awful episodes were directed by women. Figures

That wasn't a CGI bear. It was actually a trained bear that was pretty famous. That particular scene was filmed in Los Angeles because thats where that bear stayed. OTherwise if it was CGI, you would have seen that bear devour maybe a few Lannister guards before being killed by Brienne and Jaime like I somewhat recall in the book.

Maybe it was cause it just moved so weird. http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox ... scene.htmlI blame the choreography. Thats one thing that seems inconsistent with the show. They had badass fight scenes like Ned vs Jaime and the Hound vs Beric yet some fight scenes like Brienne vs Jaime and Bronn in the trial by combat that looked like they were directed by the 60s Star Trek

I actually liked the episode, especially the Daneyers scene and Tywin putting Joffrey in his place.

Re: Game of Thrones:Season 3
Havent seen the last two episodes yet but from most discussion and reviews they seem to be a step down from the previous episodes.
I think thats a product of stretching the Book into 2 seasons (and wanting to end with a big event). Book 3 does have alot of filler in the first half so was hoping the TV show would speed things up.
Instead they are spending needless time with Theon and drawn out talking sesions.
Also - it appears that Dan and Dave & GRRM are the weakest writers on the show.

Also - it appears that Dan and Dave & GRRM are the weakest writers on the show. Its not that. Its that they cut off a lot of meat from the Jaimie,Dany, Brendan and Edmure Tully and to some extent Davos chapters so that they could make room for some unnecessary scenes with Margarey. Book 3 was awesome from what I can remember but its not quite how it plays out in this season
