New yorks subway is gross. What? Been too long since I rode the Chitown one to remember.

I rode the subway in New York back in November. Had never been on one before. I was confused. And there are some real weirdos that hang out down there.

New York's subway is a good system...but the subway itself is really disgusting and in the heat of the summer simply unbearable.

Subways in general are less confusing to non locals, but they're pretty easy to figure out. No way they're worse than Boston's T, though.

What happens if you run into her at a restaurant or somewhere. Will you guys just ignore each other?

And just so you know, if I'm ever in the DC area we're totally going to meet up somewhere. Fair warning!

I wish I could put in my two-week notice every two weeks. I like when my managers have no expectations for me.

What is your new job? You work in finance right?

Right now I'm doing accounting, which is boring as hell. I'm moving into finance. Which is probably not that much more exciting, lol, but I have more interest in it.

I haven't even told my coworkers yet. We're going to have a meeting later to go over who gets what of my projects and stuff. So I'll probably just wait 'till then lol

Not really. I talk to a few at work and grab lunch with them, but I don't speak to any of them outside of work. My department mostly consists of 28+ year olds that I can't relate to. Only two people my age.

But now they know. We just had a meeting. They're all happy for me but will probably wish I was dead in two weeks because of all the work they're taking over.

I feel bad for them. lol

How did you get this new job? Have a connection or did you just stumble on it and apply?

Connection. I was referred internally, got the interview and I guess did well enough lol.

I feel bad too somewhat. In my team, I have more accounts and projects than anyone else, and each month we have a deadline on the 20th of the month. It's gonna be a lot of late nights over the next two weeks which I'm sure they're not too happy about. I'd be mad, too. But then I remember that they'd probably do the same if they had the chance and I feel better.

I am going to try and get as much done as possible to help them out, though. It's really going to be rough for them if I don't.

I am going to secretly hire both of you guys, just so I can fire you shortly thereafter.
