 Doc Lecters Sig
It eludes to something Ive noticed in many movies. I know the audience is surprised, as we cant see the TREX. But WHY THE HELL do the characters act surprised? Clearly they would have notice & heard the massive dinosaur strolling into the building before it lunges at Raptor. So many films have flaws like this, it's sad.

Well, it's obviously a camera trick, but I do think there is some sort of psychological explanation as well, like you only notice the closest impending doom.
From the film POV, it's not like they knew the T-Rex would save their lives. They could have seen both, thought they were fucked either way, but by attacking one, it bought them a few minutes while eating it.

It doesn't make much sense, true. Still my all-time favorite movie and an amazing scene.

Nice scene.
It's also impossible to have dinosaurs roaming a planet in 1993, but you seemed to have accepted that.

Also, they don't act surprised. A raptor was just heading for their faces, they were shit-scared and trying to get out of the way.
