But the quote I posted wasn't comparing all fifth films in franchises. It was just saying that A Good Day to Die Hard is the equivalent weakest link in the franchise like Jason X, Jaws: The Revenge etc. are.

And as for 5th films, Resident Evil: Retribution leads the pack for me.

Please go away, Jai Courtney. And take the cinematographer with you. This is such an ugly movie in every aspect. I was fidgeting in my seat throughout the last hour. Bruce Willis looked as bored as I was. F The grade I save for mental rapage. The movie I want to love, but goes beyond failing, into the category of entertainment-torture. White people problems, as Magnus would call it.

Sadly, my prediction of June 2007 appears to be coming true...


...it appears there was no budget or story available for DH5, so we just follow John McClane around the set of some whole other movie (itself a rather pleasantly melodramatic little potboiler of a 90's spy thriller).

It must be bad if Bradley is giving this less than 5 stars. Live Free or Die Hard was given 12 by him, so this new one must be DTV level.

A lot of people are criticizing the cinematography, but I do not have a problem with most of it. The car chase has a lot of cool visual moments in and of themselves. It is just hard to become invested and therefore hard to feel any suspense. McClane is barely McClane.

You know, watching this movie made me somewhat understand what Star Wars fans meant when they claimed George Lucas had raped their childhood.

Honestly, the car chase was the only part of the film I really enjoyed, but I also thought it was rater long. 30% longer...?! That's pushing it.

It feels as if the car chase, in its current version, represents around 20 to 25 percent of the film.

It'll be up to one-third then, I guess.

That was especially long. At least it wasn't dreadfully long like the Jason Bourne car, scooter, running scene at the end of the film. I thought that would never end.

Are you referring to the Manila chase in The Bourne Legacy?

Maybe it's because I set my expectations to zero, but I didn't think it was that bad. It's the weakest in the series, easily, and it could've done without that homage shot to the first movie at the end, but I thought it was okay.

The real problem is that it's completely missing a first act. It also feels hacked to shit, like someone at FOX insisted this be 90 minutes. And why cut away from the hot chick taking off her leather getup? It was in the trailer, but not in the film?

Oh, and did anyone else get that trailer for the new Kevin Hart movie that's coming out? You know, the one that's isn't coming out until Valentine's Day 2014!?!?! Where's the audience that's highly anticipating a Kevin Hart movie so much that a full trailer was released a year in advance?

Not only that, this movie didn't even have the decency to give the ladies a full shirtless shot of Jai Courtney. The dude has nothing else going for him, really, the least they could've done was showcase his admittedly nice body.

So that's considered nice nowadays? Jai Courteney has one of the most average, normal bodies I've seen.

Probably not. But it's the least they could have done. This was probably the worst movie I've seen theatrically in at least a couple of years.

Sad, but this is not even among the two worst movies I have seen theatrically just this year... Safe Haven and Spring Breakers still have the honor.

Oh and tonight I'm going to a press screening of A Haunted House, so Die Hard will probably even be bumped out of the Bottom 3.

It's not even stupid fun? Would it be better if drunk/high?
