Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 9th Annual WOKJ Motion Picture Awards. A total of 54 of you participated in the voting for the winners, the highest number since 2006. This turnout did not remain unrewarded. Ever since I started running this show, I have never had such an exciting year for the winners as this. So many close races and somewhat surprising outcomes. Overall, I would say that I feel these awards represent the general opinion of WOKJ pretty well.

First of all, a huge thanks to everyone who took their time and voted. Also, thanks in advance to the presenters and speech writers.

And of course, special thanks to xiayun who once again will provide us with his great graphs!!

Best Comedy
Laughter spreads quicker than a virus and comedies tend to find that proper mix that can engage audience in a laugh riot. 2012 was a good year for this category, specially the variety of topics in nominees. They might not all be laugh-out-loud but they find that right mix to bring out a smile on your face.

A pair of underachieving cops are sent back to a local high school to blend in and bring down a synthetic drug ring. 21 Jump Street
A freshman is cajoled into joining her school's all-girls singing group. Injecting some much needed energy into their repertoire, they take on their male rivals in a campus competition. Pitch Perfect

great showing from 21JS and TED but the superior comedy would not be denied.

As for comedy I liked 21 Jump Street more but SLP is also fine.
