If someone can't let something like THAT roll off their chest maybe they shouldn't be on the internet.
C'mon, you know it wasn't just a simple comment. He wouldn't have made it to anyone, but Loyal, I promise.

Ignore option? Uh-oh... *hopes he won't be ignored... *
I'm fairly impartial on all this. And I just don't know... I know how it feels to be on the outside. An outsider. And to be severely misunderstood, and have someone label me one way, and the rest follow suit. But, I don't know if Goldie is that way. It's hard to say if Goldie WANTS to be an outsider. I mean Mav, Lecter, Loyal... these guys will tell you flat out that Goldie is a trouble-maker, an asshole, you name it. But Eagle, the admin of this forum, thinks we should give Goldie a fair shake, something I don't think ANYONE has given him. Perhaps Goldie you're frustrated from that. Perhaps you don't give one damn whether people like you or not. I really do not know.
I can't see how you would give a damn. Let's take an example that most of us can remember where I felt like an outsider for a while: October. No need to go over it, you probably remember what I did. And afterwards, I realized I fucked up. I was getting attacks from a lot of people, and those who didn't bash me were saying they were disappointed in me. ALL of this was understandable and expected. But, I built a second life on these forums. Because of that, I wanted to reconcile with everyone. And for the most part, I have. I tried my damndest to stop the hatred and disappointment and show people that side from that event, I am still Mr. X. If you loved me or hated me, I was still the same X that everyone knows and loves/hates.
Goldie, on the other hand, has not tried to redeem himself like I did.
... but I just don't know. I like Lecter. I like Loyal. I like Maverikk. I like the whole lot of you, because you all make up a part of my life, and that's not an easy task to do on a forum. But, I feel Goldie is misunderstood sometimes. Do I have all the facts? No, I do not. So, my opinion isn't complete and right. As much as I hate Algren sometimes, or hate BKB, or hate someone else, I still look past the one thing that bothered me at the time, and still like them. I like all of you. Goldie included. Which is why I probably find it hard to call the guy down all the time.
Sorry for that jumbled mess... my official verdict on Goldie? Undecided.

Now, as the moderating team doesn't seem to feel the need to do much right now, I will do what must be done. Still waiting for reply so As Lecter wants to talk about - was this needed. Maybe you should talk to him about this.
Why? He could easily be talking about leaving the forums himself. You all are so damn sensative.

I almost regret campaigning for Goldie's permanent ban, the hostility between him and Lecter is hilarious!
But like I said, ALMOST.

Goldie wrote: Eagle wrote: Goldie wrote: Sorry but I am pissed off.
Based on your comments, on the thread that MAV pointed out, was a valid response.
I don't like being held up as a scapegoat for these people.
I think you should do what you did originally - Erase this thread and have people deal with you through PM's. I understand that your pissed off, and I am sure that I would be too if I were you. I am trying to keep you a part of these boards, so you are going to have to help me help you. Unfourtunatly I am not going to erase this thread. I need to know what people think on the issue .. mainly people apart from mav, lecter, and loyal. I know how those 3 feel, it has been noted, and now I need to know how others feel. Quick question. Goldie if I get an ignore function operational, will you agree to Ignore Lecter's posts and possible Mav, Loyal and Rouge's as well? I will ignore their posts BY NOT QUOTING THEM but not their threads. Look at what I bumped up as I want the opportunity to respond withOUT quoting anyone. Or if you would prefer I could start a seperate thread voicing my opinion - BUT I WOULD PREFER NOT TO DO THAT. ------------------------ HERE'S ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF GOLDIE GIVING GOOD SUGGESTIONS. ----------------------- I have seen on some boards a REPORT THIS POST BUTTON. Is that something that could be installed. Then people would be more accountable.
Bump - as this got buried on the last page.
Is this button an option.

I can look into a report this post button yes, I will get back to you.
And Goldie.
I am asking you not to just 'not quote lecter' but to IGNORE his posts, meaning it will seem as if lecter has left the forums.

Where's all the fun, if I say it?
Don't worry, though, I am not leaving. I mean, c'mon, what kind of a foolish step would that be, to leave these great boards over THAT?

I just checked RT and that is the button, I am talking about.
Then everyone is accountable for crossing the line.

Is Goldie annoyingly irritating to the point were I want to drop kick him, dear god yes. His posts in that what attracts you the msot to men/women were just grating. Hence, I have long ago ceased to pay attention at all to goldie's post, except on rare occasions.
As for the stalking, my first though was what stalking? Lecter and Goldie are like magnets, they always seem to end up in the same thread and attack each other but how can Goldie's comments to loyal and such be seen as stalking. Loyal does make a god poitn tha tthe mods saw fit to delete things, that suggests it was bad...but as most of us cannot see it we can judge what Goldie's fate should be.
Does Goldie make a worthwhile contribution to this forum, no, he's annoying and not funny...if one is goign to troll at least be bloody clever about it.
The whole situtation with Lecter and Goldie has always appeared ot ahve been given a "we'll see what happens" attitude from mods/admins..at least from my point of view. So I am not surprised at all but the turn of events.
Why don't we all jsut try ignoring Goldie, its really nto that hard to ignore people who are boring and irratiting...I do it all the time.

While I think that any issue that can unite loyal and Mav must have some merit, I do think a ignore function could well solve everybody's problem.
And, I agree with everything Ripper said. =D>

bABA...
I'd point you in the direction of the threads that started the whole thing, but I believe most (if not all) of the posts were deleted. It's pretty much just the same 'ol stuff we've been dealing with for awhile now. Goldie, loyal, or Lecter say something in a thread and Goldie, loyal, or Lecter reply to that post with a completely unnecessary comment. loyal started a petition to have Goldie perma banned, and Eagle deleted the posts that were in it and turned it into this thread. I think that's about it.
Just like to chip in my two cents on the whole ignore button thingy, too...
Ultimately, I think it's bad for the forum and not a great idea. People will be talking behind each other's back in public, stuff like that... I dunno. Just a bad feeling about it.

Hold up here guys.
Goldmaster may be very very irritating, infact up until KJ he was probobly my least favourite person ive ever come across online - but you know what he really dosen't deserve this that much.
I mean; god knows hes given me a headache, He practically followed me around BOM and attacked me all the frickin time - and then when i left her arrived at NF7, gave certain users a headache and then started kind of...emailing me stuff.
But i figure...so what. The past is the past; From what ive saw of Goldie here at KJ [aside from a few rare incidents] hes been nothing but nice [unless im just mentally blocking every thread he makes] . I dont want to defend him but i dont think the guy should be permybanned really..
If he was spamming; attacking users of pm and sorts then id say otherwise - or am i missing something?

Yup and keep it up, becasue you are better then getting in petty fights with someone who not worth it.
In thebeginnig Goldie at elast made some threads aht wree ok, now nothing. Bannign him will liekly encourage him, jsut keep ignoring him...seriosuly, he has got nothing useful to say.

I think the best option for us is, if Goldie won't be banned, to ignore him. He thrives on attention, and he always gets it. Or at least Lecter can completely ignore him, that'll pretty much do the job. Eventually he'll get bored and go away.
