Worst acting nomination in the past ten years?
I put together some of the for the poll, those who I consider likely to be voted by WOKJ members. Of course there is an "Other" option for those, who won't find their choice on here. It is about the nominees in all acting categories since 2003. You can find all nominees since 2003 here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academy_Aw ... As much as I think Wallis' performance is beyond overrated and Jonah Hill was a payoff, Ruby Dee gets my vote. That was a total joke if a nod. What a waste of a slot. You might as well give an oscar nod to Cicely Tyson in a Tyler Perry flick and I love Tyson! Ugh. Waste of a spot!

I haven't seen a lot of the performances on here, but of those I have seen, all are well deserved, especially Brad Pitt's subtle and apparently underrated performance.

It's gotta be Ruby Dee. I mean, everyone respects her but...an Oscar nomination for that performance?
I think a close second is Catherine Keener in Capote. I love Keener but that was a very lazy nomination.

I loved Wahlberg's nomination, he was great in The Departed, always the best part when he was on screen. Didn't even remember that Depp was nominated for Todd. My vote goes to that one.

Depp was nominated over Gosling (Lars and the Real Girl). Disgrace.
