Re: Top 3 BRUCE WILLIS movies
Probably my favorite generic action star.
1. Pulp Fiction (A+) 2. Die Hard (A+) 3. Die Hard With a Vengence (A-)
Hon. Mention: Live Free or Die Hard (B+)

Re: Top 3 BRUCE WILLIS movies
That was so tough. He's been in loads of great movies and to narrow it down to just three makes me feel guilty for leaving out some classics.
1. The Jackal 2. Die Hard 3. Sin City
PS: He's far from a "generic action star". I think you're getting him mixed up with Steven Seagal or Van Damme.

Re: Top 3 BRUCE WILLIS movies
I should have Pulp Fiction in my top three, but I am just not in the mood. The Jackal is such a cool nineties action movie. Jack Black's death scared me as a child.

Re: Top 3 BRUCE WILLIS movies
The Last Boy Scout is a good one. Full Tony Scott eighties shot-through-an-MTV-haze vision. I love Bruce's morning declaration to himself in the mirror: "Nobody likes you. Everybody hates you. You're going to lose. Smile, you fuck."

Re: Top 3 BRUCE WILLIS movies
The Last Boy Scout almost made it on the list. I was unsure whether to add that or Hudson Hawk, and in the end I bumped both for the two at the bottom.

Not just because he's gay, although that does add a certain je ne sais quoi to the scene, but because the gay guy has no idea and his reaction to Bruce being in his home and then getting his gun out is fantastic. He thought he was going to get some dirty hardcore action that night, and all he gets is a bullet. Bruce's cool, effortless and untroubled execution is just so fun to watch. This is making me want to watch it now. I'm going to go and find it and waste away a few hours.

Just doesn't do him justice. At least 10 of his film I consider awesome or better.

They should have stopped after the third. End of. McClane is now a parody of himself.

Re: Top 3 BRUCE WILLIS movies
But what effect do the sequel have on the original.
How about Rocky, a perfectly fine stand-alone film, getting five sequels?
