 Re: The Dark Knight Rises
But, seriously, I just do not buy into the notion The Dark Knight Rises is this important cinematic achievement which must be considered on another level from almost every other film. I do not believe we are dealing with, say, 2001: A Space Odyssey or Lawrence of Arabia here. It is ultimately just another superhero movie.
If others feel differently, then fair play to them.

 Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I finally caught this not too long ago and thought it was a good film. It was rather terrible as a Batman film if you ask me, simply because there's not enough Batman, but that doesn't take away too much from the film overall. Hathaway was a pleasant surprise as Selina Kyle. I fully expected to dislike her, but I found her to be charming and fun. Bane left me rather cold, even before his character was mostly assassinated by the Talia reveal at the end. The Bruce/Selina pairing felt a bit off too, even if it was only because I'd have expected Bruce to be a bit less friendly toward her after she stole from him and then later tricked him into getting caught in a fight that got his back broken. I mean, what? I'm not sure in what kind of stupid world John could be short for Robin (what about... Rob? Or anything that uses more than 1 letter of the original name?) but I thought JGL did well enough.
A-
Overall:
1. Batman Begins 2. The Dark Knight 3. The Dark Knight Rises . . . OMG GAP . . . 4. Batman 5. Batman Returns 6. Batman Forever 7. Whatever the fuck
Batman Begins wins out for me because it's more about Batman than the rest. TDK was Joker's film, TDKR was pretty much everyone's film except Batman. The non-Nolan films are rather tacky, campy shit if you ask me. I like comicbook films that aren't super dark (Avengers and Iron Man are more entertaining than any Batman film, even though the Nolan trilogy is better) but none of them really do it for me. Keaton is a terrible Bruce Wayne, and the others are worse.

Only because, I can't get past Christian Bale sounding like a normal guy as Bruce Wayne. Then, growling profusely when he's in the Bat-suit. It's so annoying to hear him speak when he is Batman, Begins was hurt because of it. Also, it was Bale's first go as Batman, which took alot of "getting used to."

 Re: The Dark Knight Rises
TDK is a sort of a modern classic as it likely one of the well liked Modern Blockbusters in recent memory. Also, it has caused the superhero genre to become more darker and you see a lot of films trying to copy the gritty dark theme as well.
However, it gets annoying because certain superhero's can't be taken super seriousily and have everything been so dark and depressing can go too far like what we say in TDKR.

I know, right? That's how annoying his voice is. Jim Carey stole the show as Edward E. Nigma/The Riddler in Forever, which sealed the deal for me.

 Re: The Dark Knight Rises
The complaining just makes no sense. What else are you expecting when he's in the costume, for him to speak in his normal voice? That would make zero sense.

There is acting, then there is going overboard with it to the point where it sounds fake - which is what Bale does in costume, imo.

"Yeah no he is not overacting"
WHARE AR THAY!!!
lol that is overacting to the max...
When you hear Batman yell in TDK and again in TDKR, you get the urge to start laughing at his voice rather become all serious.
That means the actor is overacting.
