Yeah I'm afraid so. He seems to be on the short end of the stick a lot of times with academy. I am predicting: Affleck Bigelow Hooper Lee Spielberg If Django Unchained truly catches fire with critics and audiences, I might have to (sadly) cut Ang Lee and replace him with Tarantino. Thing about Argo....it was a huge story in October, but now Lincoln and Zero Dark Thirty are completely stealing its thunder.

Re: Best Director 2012 They are, but Affleck should be well-liked enough that he still makes it in. The reviews are still great, it actually made the Top 3 in both Picture and Directing at NYFCC, and actors-turned-directors tend to do really well when they succeed as Affleck has.

Re: Best Director 2012 Pretty amazing Ang Lee is the only director who received nominations from DGA, BAFTA, and Oscar this year. Then he also added GG to the list. I think he should win BAFTA given there is no Spielberg there.
