 Re: Weekend Estimates
Yeah that's what I figured regarding SLP. Would be crazy to go wide on a weekend that's usually slow. Though I kind of wish a studio would just release a product people really want to see on this weekend. It will do well regardless. The Last Samurai proved this.

 Re: Weekend Estimates
Unless it goes down when the actual numbers are released Red Dawn did the 22 Million 5-Day I predicted. I'm curious if Lincoln being such a hit will make more people want to rent Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter .

 Re: Weekend Estimates
BTW, something else that shows just how impressive Lincoln is: Its PTA for the weekend (From 2,000 theaters) is almost exactly the same as Silver Linings Playbook (From 367 theaters) and Anna Karenina (From only 62 theaters). Pretty extraordinary.

But, hey, they need something after Barack done smack their hillbilly asses back to the trailer park.

I'm not talking about the general audience who went to see the movie. I'm talking about the tweets. The tweets Magnus and David mentioned. Those specifically. That's why I quoted them. Go back to complaining how horrible the box office was this weekend.

I think he was referring to this: Magnus wrote: From BOM: Quote: According to distributor FilmDistrict, Red Dawn played best through the South and in military areas, Makes sense. Quote: Unlike Guardians, people sought out the 3D version of Pi, and it represented 68 percent of the movie's box office. Makes sense.
