Shockingly not god-awful, just overlong and bland. I liked Dylan Walsh a lot. Chase scene at the end was pretty solid, too.

 Re: Stepfather [2009]
Decent, but a bit boring and repetitive. I thought Dylan Walsh was very good, and Amber Heard has a rockin' bod (so does Penn Badgley for that matter), but unfortunately isn't the best actress. She's no worse than Jessica Alba though, and I actually do really like her (can't say the same for Alba). I just don't think she's all that talented. Hopefully she'll prove me wrong. I may be gay, but I didn't mind watching her run around in skimpy swimsuits/underwear throughout the whole movie. She's gorgeous. And at least this movie offered up man-candy as well, since Penn Badgley (whom I actually don't think is that hot - not face-wise anyway) is shirtless quite a bit. Much appreciated.
Ha, it's funny because all I can seem to talk about is the scantily clad stars when it comes to this movie, but honestly, we spend the whole movie watching them lounge around by the pool for the most part. So besides Dylan's performance and that, there's not much to mention. It has a good beginning, and a solid finale, but the filler in between was a little dull. I may sound like I didn't like it, but it's really not bad. It's just not great either.
On a sidenote, while I'm not usually a fan of PG-13 horror flicks (though this is more of a thriller than a horror movie), this isn't a movie that felt like it needed to be more violent so the PG-13 worked (though obviously more violence would have been welcome). It didn't feel watered down like the terrible "Prom Night."

Surprisingly decent.
Not that it isn't completely generic and predictable, 'cause it is, but it's pretty entertaining at least.

 Re: The Stepfather (2009)
Very good movie. I wanted the movie to have a longer middle section, though. The area where people are discovering things and he has to come up with reasons as to why he said certain things etc etc. I like that whole area of these types of hidden identity movies. The stepfather was a great actor and the correct choice because he's the sort of stepdad that you could easily hate but be afraid of.

She's a terrible actress, and not that attractive either. All young actresses look the same. It's really boring. Amber Heard does NOTHING for me.

Just my two cents. That's all she can do is strip. She's talentless. There are so many usless chicks like this around. I don't see why you all idolise them.

Neither is her slutty face.
