"Found footage" tornado thriller Black Sky
""Final Destination 5 director Steven Quale is currently in Detroit shooting New Line/Warner Bros.' "found footage" tornado thriller, starring Richard Armitage ("The Hobbit" films), Sarah Wayne Callies ("The Walking Dead"), Matt Walsh, Nathan Kress, Arlen Escarpeta, Jeremy Sumpter, Kyle Davis and Jon Reep, and we have now learned the title of the film. The studio is going with Black Sky. The film will reportedly document high school students caught in a deadly, tornado-spawning hurricane. Armitage will play a widowed father who, with the help of storm chasers, tries to rescue his son from the aftermath of a string of tornadoes."" SOURCE

Disaster-movie + found footage ploy = big success. Could see this going the way of Cloverfield/Chronicle.

This sounds cool. An actual fresh way to utilize the found-footage format. It could be truly terrifying if done well.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/movi ... s/6302265/The film, now titled Into The Storm, should have a trailer soon. See some pics from the film at the link above. I'm excited for this. I think it could be really awesome.

Re: "Found footage" tornado thriller Black Sky
Finally a storyline where found footage actually makes sense and could add so much to it.

I do like found-footage films. I'll surely watch so long as it isn't too CGI'd.

Re: "Found footage" tornado thriller Black Sky
It's a fairly new problem, I think. Not sure if it's KJ or a YT thing.

I'd rather see a found footage sharknado thriller.
