Post Re: Monday Numbers (box-office is doomed)
I wonder if the tragic events of this past weekend will accelerate or delay the eventual re-boot of the Bat franchise?

A year from now nobody will blink any eye. Hell, whenever Romney announces his VP pick, it will take a backseat. It always does. I doubt it alters their future plans for the character.

You know, that's actually possible. Perhaps this fall, in time for the Oscar season.

I think they certainly should. A rerelease in September or October could garner anywhere from 20-50 million, depending on the size. It it said to have virtually exclusive rights in imax through october.

Post Re: Monday Numbers (box-office is doomed)
Hey, just to give you a heads up since I didn't want to make a WC post out of taste... This all could end up smoke over nothing and misreading the situation, but anyways, judge it for yourself

This morning I logged onto facebook and Loyal's latest update was "This is the worst day of my life, which is saying something considering what I've been through" (note, he was sexually abused as a child I believe), "Hike for Hope is over, my life is over. I can't breathe" in not those exact words.

So later in the day I went back to the post to see if he'd elaborated on what happened and whether it was something really bad or he was just freaking out about his charity getting cancelled. When I searched I found his account was inactive. I looked up his GF's name which I had remembered from other posts to see if she'd have a post on it, and hers is inactive too.

Basically it's pretty easy to jump to the most unfortunate conclusion of GF dies in wilderness hike accident, he goes into my life is over mode (GF dies seems by far the most likely thing to make him say his life is over IMO), then he cancels both accounts. Hopefully it's something else though

I hate when people put ambiguous, highly dramatic posts ("life is over," etc.) on social sites.

Knowing Loyal though this could be something different than "typical"

Oh ok. Still, though, Shack's post seems ominous.

Everybody forgot the Norway killer a few weeks after it happened and he killed more people and caused more destruction. I am guessing this will blow over in a couple of weeks as well. It has to be something really bad (like 9-11) to dominate the media for weeks.

He started his own forum in an successful recreation of the WOKJ exodus. I'd support a loyal comeback.

Yeah he seemed fine a few days ago though I know he was in physical pain and sick during his Hike for Hope. I'm sure his account was active a day or two ago. Hmm not sure.

The post makes it seem Loyal is in trouble or just feeling really bad about himself.

Strange...
