Re: Predict The Dark Knight Rises' total I doubt it will have legs like TDK. A multiplier of 3-3.1 is possible, but unlikely. I just don't see how people could be interested in seeing a movie about a terrorist killing people and taking control of a city. I expect a 55%+ drop next weekend and legs a little better than Hunger Games.

If people return to the box office fairly quickly and TDKR is not unduly stigmatized, $500m is still possible. If not, it may have a very weak multiplier for a Nolan Batman film. It may take 3 weekends to get an accurate idea of its trajectory.

I think the range is 380-650m, and yes I honestly believe over Avengers is possible. It depends on how people rebound from the situation, which is anyones guess.

Currently predicting $475m total though will have to see some dailies for predicting this.
