Re: PROMETHEUS (INTL) $172m and counting...
It made $37m last week this week dropped to $6.6m so slowing down heavily now. I guess loss of IMAX and 3D screens impacted it mostly.

Re: PROMETHEUS (INTL) $195m and counting...
European Championship in June made sure that the majors steered clear of June for bockbuister releases (except for The Amaing Spider-Man at the end of June). Once June was over, all studios couldn't release their films at once, so...

It's disturbing how sport obsessed Europe is, honestly.

Fortunately the Americans don't have a sporting event that half the nation is watching... Oh, wait a minute, isn't there some cup, pot or bowl in late January, early February?

The Super Bowl is one day, though. We don't stop releasing movies for a month or two because of it. National interests should be diverse. But forget I said anything. Simmer down. Especially you, Lecter.

Re: PROMETHEUS (INTL) $202m and counting...
Has the weekly/weekend breakdown by country been released recently? I'm curious to know if the past few weekends has included the previews in Japan that the film has been having since August 4th. The film opens nationwide August 24th.
According to estimates, it grossed about 150 million yen ($2 million) this weekend in previews in Japan.

It is still chugging along nicely. Are we still looking at $300m OS total or maybe even higher?

Are there any markets left for it to open? I don't think $300m OS is happening though it will get to $410m WW total.
