Your posts in this thread are defined by an undeniable coldness. It seems to deeply disturb you, as a moral authority, everyday people would send a few dollars the way of this put-upon, blue-collar elderly lady for whom they feel a genuine sympathy. What is this insanity? What are these strange feelings? So with every post, you seem more and more the clichéd cold Kraut, honestly. Though I s'pose it was an error on my part to bring in any references to the proud recent history of the German people--a weirdly petty digression, I admit--since it's distracted from your hilarious and telling (IMO) pivot from being this pious figure chastising stupid, reactionary Americans for not sending their money to Somalia (fast, fast, name five more African countries in peril) to being this hip-to-be-cynical phony whose best response is, "I am selfish and I have no issues in admitting that." Not to mention the incredibly strange moment where you reveal arguing with me online has made you feel less sympathy for this elderly woman as she endures all too real physical and emotional abuse. There is no coldness on my part. I feel for the woman and feel that the bullies need to be brought to all appropriate justice. I just find it sad much worse things happen to others everyhere every day and they are just too unfortunate of not having the videos of the incidents uploaded online.

Members of my extended family died during the Holocaust. Shall we compare stats?

I'm not afraid of Germans, but I couldn't blame a person who was. Consider the track record.

I wasn't exactly talking fear, more like general opposition.
But right...

This has become a huge story here in Canada as well as they person who created the fund is from here.
Feel sorry for the lady, people can be soo mean...
Imo I have noticed you can tell people who have been bullies or have been bullied. I never make fun of anyone in public because I know how it feels.

Hopefully she manages the money well or has someone to help her...people who receive large amounts of money overnight (like lottery winners) with no previous experience of handling amounts that large usually loose it all very quickly and end up in tremendous debt.

Bullying is overblown. She obviously was not doing her job very well and I agree with Lecter, sending her money will do nothing to cure the underlying problem (bratty asshole children).

I doubt anyone thinks it will solve anything. People are giving out of compassion for an old woman getting treated that way. Besides, it isn't Money that will solve anything. Haven't we learned that after the zillionth time. It will take a good talkin' to and a belt if required to teach the kids manners and a lesson in how to treat adults with respect.
