Did someone bet you that you couldn't make 80 threads in five minutes? You're a machine!!
I want to get into fitness and exercise more. Does that help? No? Oops.

No problem. As long as it's not a "I LOVE RUSTY" thread.

Wall Sits are the way to go...
...I was trying to show someone how to do one so I took a picture of it. I'll post it in a bit, if I can find it and if it isn't embarassing.
Those will help with your quads, calfs, and some other thing I'm forgetting about...Do them for a minute with, like, a 30 second break, for 20 minutes, and then go up to 5 and then 10 minutes a piece...
For abs: lie down straight. raise your two feet together (straight!) about 3-4 inches above the ground. Do it every day. Asides from that, do sit-ups.

Ahh cheers for that, a pic would be cool.
Where are your "quads"?
..i do sit up already, but it never seems like i am working the abs, until about 10 into them. It starts to heart my legs more so..weird.
I appreciate the info though

When you do sit-ups, make sure you aren't using your neck. That'll kill you.
I don't know where the quads are. I failed that P.E. Test. These are all below the belly...
As for the third thing it works - hamstrings.
Excuse the jeans, but, yeah, make sure you're at a 90 degree angle. It should hurt! And, that's good. If it's getting tooooo easy, put your hands up in the air.

How long it is 'till you feel it burn is a matter of the strength of your abs before doing the exercise
Your arms can be anywhere. I somehow find them an inch above me when I do the exercise, though.

I believe that exercise tests your glycogen levels in your body. Your legs should start twitching after a while of doing this. I believe that if you are fit you should last 45 seconds +.
If you exercise you're supposed to do a warm up (10 mins normally) then do weights. Doing weights is first bc you will use this Glycogen up in order to lift the weights. Your body apparently burns that first, then it burns off fat. So when you do cardio after the weights, your body will use up the glycogen first and hopefully you'll be burning fat only.
My sister was a personal trainer, she tells me these things, but i don't pay attention. I think that chemical is called glycogen.. i could be wrong.

Oh right, reason i ask is because Arnold says to have them under your bum cheeks..however this is a slightly different excerise.
Thanks anyway Ross.
Anymore useful exercises will be welcome...

It depends on what you're trying to do, Algren.
Do you want to lose weight or build muscle?

My sis says that there is no such thing as toning, you just have to build muscle and then do cardio and burn the fat around the muscle.

It sounds like you're trying to build muscle. If that's the case, avoid fat burning stuff like jogging, and focus on weight training stuff. You'll need good weight lifting equipment for stuff like that. Also, if you guys have something like a GNC in the UK (it's a store in America that sells supplements that help you build muscle), that might be a good place to start.

I ride a stationary bike for 10 miles every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Last time I did it I went the 10 miles in 33 minutes.
I want to start Pilates or something on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I ain't buff, I'll be honest, but I'm pretty healthy and my outlook on food doesn't seem to hurt me.
I basically eat anything I want, which consists of:
1. Light Breakfast (Crackers, Granola, OJ, maybe a bagel if I have time)
2. Light Lunch (Crackers, Yogurt, Water)
3. Light Snack (Usually some kind of fruit)
4. BIG Dinner (Usually a meat or pasta dish with a nice, healthy side)
I love being able to eat whatever I want.

Carbs are anything breadlike.
You should only eat them in the morning so your body can burn them off throughout the day. That way you dont go to sleep with undigested carbs.

And, once your done with your WOKJ-Planned Exercising, get a shirt from J. Crew. Although people think J. Crew = Gay, a simple collar shirt won't hurt you. And, it'll "hug" your biceps and chest. Unless you're butt ugly, it'll help with your search for "the one."

Eh. Dunno.
If you feel it in your abs, it's working.
I've never felt it in my back, though.
