 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Ticket prices would be almost equal or a little higher I believe. Though with a minimum of $150m domestic and minimum $250m OS (Japan is still ahead) after this weekend I am sure it will pass $1.4b which would mean more tickets overall.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
I expected $800m to $1B worldwide at best but it looks like $1.5B is a possibility!

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
I meant WW with $400m-500m or so from domestic and $400-500m OS.
Now it looks like $900m+ from overseas and $600m+ domestic??

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Is this fastest to $750m WW?
Edit: No I guess that's still DH2 if you go by international release.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
lol I failed in predicting...
Was seeing like 14 million or so this whole week.
Should blast welll well past 600 million by the end of the weekend and 800 million is pretty much assured.
Should be at least 620 million after the weekend and a bit shy of a billion WW by Sunday..
With no real competition this month, TA is heading for a gigantic overseas haul...

It is already at $500m with Wednesday and Thursday ahead contributing a minimum of $20m each plus add a minimum of $95m weekend and you get $135m for $635m OS total by Sunday. Domestically from $244m add $26m from weekdays and a minimum of $95m domestic, you get $121m for $365m domestic total by Sunday. WW total 635 + 365 = $1B WW Disney will do ANYTHING in their hands to get that extra publicity and record of 17 days. With higher predictions this will do OS $44m weekdays + $100m weekend = $144m or $644m Domestic $26m + $111m weekend (BO is predicting that high) = $137m or $381m Worldwide : $644m + $381m = $1.025B It is making $1B by Sunday for sure. The domestic weekend will surely be big enough to reach it past $1b mark

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
well hardly a surprise. The amazing thing about this is the non domestic release dates. had it released together in states it would have crossed the mark in about 15 days itself.

Amazing what Latin America and Asia can do on their own. The numbers in Europe are pretty paltry, except the UK.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
The avengers is now the second highest grossing movie of all time in Mexico passing Avatar. About 9 million more and it will pass Toy Story 3 for the top spot

Paltry compared to the rest, yes, but I mean in Germany The Avengers has already passed all Avenger-related flms to date after less than 14 days and should be the first comic book adaptation to pass 2 million admissions since The Dark Knight.
