 Tim Burton's Worst Movie
The question came up in the recent thread Dark Shadows - Burton's best since Sleepy HollowI'm of the opinion that Sleepy Hollow is Burton's worst movie (though I must say it is a very close race with Mars Attacks and Sweeney Todd). What is Tim Burton's worst movie?

Sweeney Todd, followed by Alice in Wonderland.
Haven't seen Pee-wee's Big Adventure and Big Fish.

I haven't seen Apes since opening day when I was 11, so I don't remember much. But, Alice was pretty not-good. So that.

I do not hate any of his films, but Sweeney Todd was kinda boring and Mars Attack was stupid

I'm probably the only person here who hasn't seen BOTH Apes and Alice.
I haven't seen a Tim Burton film that I disliked, so...

[i]Planet of the Apes[p/i] wasn't a bad movie, though it was unnecessary.

Alice in Wonderland. Sweeney Todd is one of his worst too. Haven't seen Ed Wood either. I really wasn't fond of Big Fish but would feel bad calling it his worst.

I'm still waiting on him to make a good one.
Mars attack was average which is more than I can say about any of his other films.

 Re: Tim Burton's Worst Movie
I love Mars Attacks from when I was a kid. Bought the DVD a while ago but never watched it. I fear from the bad reviews here that maybe my childhood view of the film will change.
Haven't seen Alice all the way through but it seemed like Burton at his most obnoxiously offbeat. Like, it was just too much Burton-style.

Apes, with Alice a close second. Even those were alright though and not far off the rest of his '00 work.

More people should see Ed Wood, it's probably his best film.

 Re: Tim Burton's Worst Movie
It's clearly Planet of the Apes!
I don't get all the Alice in Wonderland hate. It's not the best film in the world, but it was enjoyable enough. More a misfire than an out-and-out bad film. That's the thing with Burton, even in the films that don't quite hit the target, there's still plenty to admire.
Unlike Planet of the Apes, which is just flat-out awful.
His best, meanwhile, is still Edward Scissorhands. Or Beetlejuice. Which is probably why I'm getting so excited about Dark Shadows as it looks like a fun mix of the two.
