 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Well, it's not a shocker to me personally, as I'm gonna watch the movie on the big screen again myself, but for the German market a drop like this for a comic book movie is very, very, very, very, very, very, very rare...

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Hmmm,. I wonder if The Dark Knight Rises (if it is as good as we expect it to be) can break 3 million admissions in Germany. Would be the first comic book adaptation since Spider-Man 3 to do so.
Given the tremendously good WoM for The Dark Knight and Inception, I could see a 1,000,000+ admissions opening here.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Looks like it is headed for #1 in admissions again weith 525,000 admissions in its second weekend (that alone wouild be the 3rd-biggest opening weekend of the year here). Should be well above 1.5 million admissions by the end of its second weekend. Good performance.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
And Intouchables will still have a higher total admissions number than The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises and The Hunger Games combined, hehe.

Those opening weekdays were also huge and if it follows the trend of Germany in key markets it could get close to $700m OS total.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Russia heading for 32 o 35 million opening week..
TA is looking to around 70-100 million in China overall with around 10 million opening day.
40% weekend drop in Australia (well it opened on a 5-day but solid)
Based on updates from boxoffice.com international forum.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Quote: Disney also just updated the international gross to $334.3M after adding another $30M Friday. That would make the worldwide total at least $575M through Sunday with this weekend’s addition of China, Russia, and of course North America. $600m+ WW by Monday with just 4 days of domestic run. Adding another $270m from domestic total would make it close to $900m WW with China and Russia run just started...This is a beast.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
SK is increasing from last weekend and TA is ahead of MI4 in China.
That may seem bad in China, but MI4 4 made 101 million in China.

2nd weekend drop in Germany now looks like 25 %
BTW, I'm 100 % sure that WW total will be at least $600m today...

Yeah $600m WW total by Sunday is almost certain. $1b WW is so going down and I think TF3's WW total is going down.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Yeah $151m sounds great and if that holds I think $800m OS total is in play. It has something that TF3 didn't have exceptional WOM (it was good but not this great) and much better family appeal. It still has Japan to open and I expect another $80m from there.
