 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Yep TA and TDK are going to have one hell of a battle Overseas if TA keeps this up..
TA is totally pulling off a TF3 overseas.
based on the 218 million Monday Number by this Sunday
TA should be be around 375-400 million overseas
add around 150 million Domestic
The film will be around 625-650 million by Sunday.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
After its opening weekend in Holland, Avengers has made €1.314.852, which is more than the totals for Captain America and The Incredible Hulk, and only a couple of thousand euros behind Iron Man, Thor and X-Men: First Class. Given that Monday was a holiday here for everyone, and schools are out the entire week, it should have exceeded the total grosses for every Marvel film except for the Spider Man films and the first X-Men film before the end of its second weekend.
It shouldn't have any trouble outgrossing all of the Spider Man films eventually, and unless it crumbles it should become the biggest comic book film too. The Dark Knight currently holds that record with a rather paltry €4.968.797. I don't think we really like comic book films as a nation...

With 816,000 admissions in 6 days (thank you Labor Day) AVENGERS is already close to IRON MAN's total of 817,996 here in Germany...

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Thats why I find the idea of it opening below IM2 admissions silly in NA.
Every single market will have TA beating IM2 in admissions as well.

It's going to do 700-750 internationally. It'll be past 50 mill in the UK after the Bank Holiday on the 7th.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
It is doing HUGE business in Singapore as well. As Nikki pointed it has shattered the opening day record and through Wednesday it is going very strong. WOM is very good so the legs will be amazing as well.
I think $700m OS total is a possibility with $600m OS highly likely and $500m OS a lock.

700m will depend on how the film drop in the upcoming weekend

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Ok. It is very huge here in the Philippines. It broke many box office records here. 1. Highest opening weekend gross nationwide with P281 million breaking the P236 million set by “Spider Man 3″ in 2007. 2. Biggest Wednesday Ever: P56.6-M, beating “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’s” P55.4-M in 2011.. 3. Biggest Thursday Ever: P44.1-M, smashing Spider-man 3‘s P28.4-M in 2007. 4. Biggest Friday Ever: P45.3-M, outgrossing “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1’s” P44.1-M in 2011. 5. Biggest Saturday Ever: P66.4-M, breaking “Transformers: Dark of the Moon’s” P60.8-M in 2011. 6. Biggest Sunday Ever: P68.5-M, outlasting “Transformers: Dark of the Moon’s” P60.8M in 2011. 7. Biggest Single-Day gross ever: P68.5-M 8. Fastest time to cross the P100-million mark (in only two days). 9. Fastest time to cross the P200-million mark (four days). 10. Biggest first week gross ever.
I just saw it again yesterday, May 1, and I'm pretty sure it will still has huge box office because of the holiday. It is set to break TF3's highest grossing record this coming weekend.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Not a bad number.... Monday Night/Tuesday was inflated because of the holiday.
$280 million through Wednesday is nothing to sneeze at!

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
HUGE numbers. That drop is quite good given it is coming off a sort of extended weekend.
For 3-day I believe it wouldn't have made more than $130m but then it is opening in China which will hugely boost its weekend number so I think another $130m-$140m is possible. Few of the small markets like Singapore and Thailand where the movie opened on Monday would boost it due to first weekend. It should have made close to $300m so I think it can even reach close to $450m by sophomore weekend.

 Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Never thought of that: Quote: Overseas, the Joss Whedon-directed tentpole has already earned more than the total lifetime gross for Iron Man ($267 million), Thor ($268 million) and Captain America: The First Avenger ($192 million). It should eclipse Iron Man 2 ($311.5) by Saturday at the latest. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/a ... don-319918
