$48M
Would be cool if Nikkie or other sites would keep updating Saturday numbers like they did yesterday.

Re: Predict Hunger Games' Saturday drop
Saturday is a guaranteed 45+ million.
The film is well ahead of New Moon and past HP films today.
Day time sellouts are occurring at some theaters and some have evening sellouts.

Spider-Man 1's Saturday humbles everything.
And I'm definitely thinking $50+m for Hunger Games today.

Magnus wrote: Well, it should be pointed that the modern day midnight madness really didnt explode until ROTS, which more than doubled the record at the time (ROTK 8m). Midnights pre-ROTS arent the best to look at for references IMO because the idea of a "midnight screening" just didnt mean the same.
Its amazing though that ROTS midnight number will be out of the top 10 by the end of this year, just seven years after it was released. The number at the time was just earth-shattering it seems. Now we just need something to top that Thursday record and we can never bring up that prequel trilogy ever again.

Re: Predict Hunger Games' Saturday drop
well its earth shattering as it was done on a Wednesday night in May and over 7 years ago.
Anyways easily busiest Saturday business since TDK and Spider Man 3 at all nearby local theaters...

Re: Predict Hunger Games' Saturday drop
no reason for it to fall hard like Deathly Hallow 2 when it got a bigger gross during the day...
Some theaters are acting very crazy like this one.
Silvercity Oakville
12:00 PM - SOLD OUT | 1:00 PM - SOLD OUT | 3:20 PM - SOLD OUT | 4:20 PM - SOLD OUT | 6:40 PM - SOLD OUT | 7:40 PM - SOLD OUT | 9:50 PM - SOLD OUT | 10:50 PM - SOLD OUT
11:40 AM | 12:00 PM | 12:30 PM | 12:50 PM | 2:50 PM - SOLD OUT | 3:20 PM | 3:50 PM | 4:10 PM - SOLD OUT | 6:20 PM - SOLD OUT | 6:40 PM | 7:10 PM | 7:30 PM - SOLD OUT | 9:30 PM | 10:00 PM | 10:30 PM | 10:45 PM
My theater has no sellouts however the only film to get big day time Saturday sellouts are kid films during the afternoon and Spiderman 3.
I am quite certain shows will be sold out during the night.

Re: Predict Hunger Games' Saturday drop
lol that is true but massive frontloading is usually typically in the US.
Many films get decent legs in comparison in Canada.
