Yeah the first half of FC in particular was great. As big a Vaughn fan as I am, there is indeed room to improve. This one should be even better.

I think a sequel could be like X2 and it could jump to over 200 million. I thinking they will go with Sinister as the new villain. The film could set up Apocalypse for the last film of this trilogy.

Maybe this one will actually focus on Xavier and Magneto.

Cool - too bad though they won't be able to top the greatest cameo ever from the first one.

Well they could bring Xavier and McKellan for a cameo showing them years later.

Edit I meant Stewart and McKellan. I know Vaughn mentioned that once.

First Class was the best film in the franchise, so yay for this.

From early reports, I remember an interview with Vaughn saying Wolverine and Vietnam may have a more integral part.

Personally if they keep it in the 60s, It would be cool if they could work in the space race as well.

This looks to be the very next one though so Summer 2013 makes sense.

They are suppose to be filming it this year. They could release both in one summer but it might be better to put Wolverine in the spring or something.

I don't think X-Men 4 will atcually happen. Fox will probably wait for how well the First Class follow-up will perform and if it increases well over the first film (which it will, IMO, I see at least $190 milion domestically), they won't go for X-Men 4 since the First Class cast is probably much cheaper to get.

Anyway, as First Class is sitll in my Top 5 of 2011, I am very happy about this.

I doubt X4 will ever happen (Ellen Page and Anna Paquin ironically became big stars, Halle Berry is really showing her age now, Ice Man, Collossus, Wolverine, and a reformed Charles Xavier. Maybe they could bring in Gambit and bring back Beast and Nightcrawler, but the continuity issues would just be too much now.

I'd say just bring in the future elements of Bishop, Cable, and Apocalypse and perhaps go back in time before the whole Phoenix fiasco and bring back the whole cast.

I had always thought they could use Bishop or Cable to get rid of the crappy Last Stand myself. I doubt X4 happens right now. The film would be very expensive and they also have to figure out how to deal with the crappy Last Stand. If X-Men First Class does really well they could use it to reboot the series.

So now the series is going forward who should they add in the sequel? I would rather Magneto not be the main villain. I would rather see Xavier and Magneto be forced to work together. I would think Sinister makes the most sense and he is very doable as a villain. Would have to change his costume but he is easy to change. I also think they need to add one more character to the X-Men, and really need another female character. You have Dazzler, Psylocke, Polaris, and Jubilee to chose from. Polaris could be interested since she has had a relationship with Havok and her father is Magneto.

hopefully we get a lot more Fassbender, the same amount of McAvoy, and a lot less of everything else.

She's hot, but her acting was a definite weak link. "War implies both sides have an equal chance of winning!" Cringe. Awful moment in a great film.

Good, and hopefully it won't be rushed like this last one was. It's kind of a miracle how good of a film First Class turned out to be given the time Vaughn had to put everything together.

Good. XMFC was very entertaining.

Despite a few odd things like why did the kid kill everyone *but* the guy who was causing his problems in that early scene - and were those two guys he later met in the diner and killed the guards from that scene? It had looked like they died. But whenever Fassbender and McAvoy were on screen it worked very well.

January Jones was okay. It was the only role I've seen her in that seemed to fit her level of ability.

Well there is another Summers they could make him obsessed with :p I would rather not get too much in that cloning stuff and just give Sinister another agenda. I suppose it could be him paving the way for Apocalypse.

Yeah, but I don't think they even referenced the fact that he was related to Scott Summers in First Class. I'm sure they'd keep Magneto in though, he was easily the best part of the new one.

Yeah, I also didn't like her acting. Emma should have been played by a Donna Mills/Heather Locklear type.
