 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Sixers already have a five game lead in their division. This is the biggest shock of the year right?

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
If ORL doesn't accept the Nets offer of Lopez, Marshon Brooks (who looks like an all-star in the making, unreal coup), Humphries and a handful of 1sts at the trade deadline - That's dumber than the Rashard signing. Because of Brooks that's all of a sudden a really good offer. As good as the Denver one for Melo.
I mean Orlando would basically be a lock for the playoffs even after making that deal. They're going to be something like 23-10 at the trade deadline and Nelson, Brooks, Hedo, Anderson/Humphries, Lopez is 8th seed caliber even without the big lead. Basically would need something like 10 wins in their last 33 to make the playoffs. That's a lock. They probably have good chance at 5th or 6th seed
ORL can set themselves up in a solid position if they are ballsy enough to make that trade. They'd have potential all-stars at SG and C in Brooks in Lopez, other solid players like Nelson, Anderson, Humphries, and two top 15-20 picks this year. That's a good trade.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
hopefully they trade him to Dallas & then somehow we also get Deron William. lol Dallas would then have Triple D's Dirk/Dwight/Deron that would be an awesome team. make it happen basketball gods

Lebron jumping over that player to dunk it was amazing to see! too bad that it had to have such a bad ending for such a great game

I think Indiana is a better team than Philly right now. There are rumors Indiana will get Nash in a trade. They need somebody like that if they have a chance in the playoffs.

Agreed, Collison doesn't look a star PG anymore, but he still has enough value for Indiana to get a Nash or a Deron Williams.

Is Toronto even trying at this point? How do you lose by 36 to the Celtics? THE CELTICS!
In all seriousness, I like how this Celtics team has kind of rallied together with the injuries to Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen. They could've tanked these handful of games, but guys like Pietrus and Bradley have brought their A-game.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
True, though I really think it's between Chicago and Miami in the East. Maybe Boston or Indiana can get in there and ruffle some feathers, but I don't see Chicago or Miami losing. The West is wide open though. That race will be fun to watch.

Yeah, I forgot about the 76ers. As much as I dislike them, it's nice to see them being relevant again.

The Sixers are having the season we (meaning basketball fans in general) thought the Knicks would have. Now New York will have to battle Milwaukee for the final playoff spot.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Simmmons pointed out that Carmelo Anthony has made history, for he is the first double "Ewing Theory" candidate, meaning that both Denver and New York are playing better without him. The Ewing theory refers to Pat leaving the Knicks in '98 only to have them go to the finals the very next year without him. Tiki Barber is another good example.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
What a comeback win by the Knicks against the Wolves tonight 100-98. Huge 3 by Steve Novak to tie it up at 98-98. Jeremy Lin had a un-linsanity game with 20pts. His free throw put the Knicks in the lead for good. But also had a bad 2nd half only making 1 of 12 field goals
