Yay for Dragon Tattoo!

Even though I haven't seen it yet, nice to see 50/50 with a nom. Same for Win Win (which I have seen).

Many films are ineligible, so hard to make too much out of these, but one significant miss from an eligible film is War Horse. The guilds support is not strong for it.

I think Bridesmaids, Midnight in Paris, The Help and The Descendants have hit every guild so far.

The Tree of Life also has minimum guilds suport so far, no SAG/PGA/ADG and now WGA even with all the ineligible films.

Dragon Tattoo was recognized by the PGA and the WGA. :D

I honestly don't believe the ineligibility rulings impacted the adapted category at all. There's nothing to suggest Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy would have done any better here than it has with other voting bodies. Albert Nobbs, Carnage, Jane Eyre, and Sarah's Key haven't been huge players in writing categories. Maybe Drive could've kicked out Dragon Tattoo, but maybe not.

Midnight in Paris is definitely winning at the Oscars. The Artist maybe could've swiped it in a partial sweep, but it's a silent film, and they're not going to give it a screenwriting award.

Well, BAFTA did, so it's certainly possible, as WGA didn't really give us more clue with it being ineligible.
