Good that C&A is not doing that well. Terrible movie.

The Help has a weekend PTA over $10,000 despite opening Wednesday. That is incredible.

What an amazing five days for The Help. With any luck this could become another Bridesmaids and join Apes as another 100 million grosser in August. Which from the looks of the next few weeks, could be really good for the box office. Even if it surprisingly plummets relative to the genre (and the daily pattern makes that look unlikely) The Help is going to turn a tidy profit.

I'm not surprised 30 Minutes or Less disappointed. It had very little going for it. Referencing a popular but not huge film the director made is one thing, but to so heavily focus on that connection reeked of desperation. And while I personally like Danny McBride and Jesse Eisenberg a lot, they aren't draws unless the material has something extra to offer.

Apes nearly beat the second weekend of the 2001 version; I think it's in good shape to top it overall.

While FD5 should still be a financial success, I do hope that this is the final FD flick we see in the near-future.

It's gonna do like 45 domestically and 70+ overseas. There will be another one.

Glee actually is the biggest opener outside the Top 10 since The Great Debaters $6,005,180 on the weekend of Dec. 28-30, 2007.

Great hold for Apes and a very impressive opening for The Help. At this rate $130M+ is actually looking really possible. Too bad about FD5 though. I saw it last night and liked it alot, but if they end the series here I wouldn't be mad. As for 30 Minutes Or Less it's a dissapointing opening, but could have been alot worse if it would have followed those orginal Friday projections.

Go Apes - great hold!

Help - amazing holds - it's going a long way.

Glee - such a tiny specific audience, and look how it plummeted after the first day. It may not make 10m total.

Also there is no way Change-Up is going to hit $40M now. Very dissapointing indeed.
