What's with all the Blair Witch hate? I still get chills when they discover all that crap in the trees. And it's a daytime scene mind you.
I wanted to put Legend of Boggy Creek on my list instead of Blair Witch but Boggy isn't violent enough. This past summer I got to visit Boggy Creek while in Texarkana (long story). I got some pretty cool pictures. No sightings though.

Loyal, you won't believe this, but I've actually seen Legend of Boggy Creek too. Heh, betcha never knew this side of me before? I didn't even know this side of me before. Boggy Creek is great, it is older so seems kind of hokey now, but its a much better movie than blair witch. I was pretty scared in boggy creek, and if they did a contemporary retelling of it, I'm sure I would be outright mortified.

How sad is it that this is now in the $5 dollar bin at Walmart?

That is sad. Just in general Dolce, bigfoot is scarier than a witch.
Boggy Creek is ripe for a remake though.

Oh my gosh! More Boggy Creek fans! Bigfoot was one of the most terrifying parts of my childhood growing up in rural Oklahoma. I rewatched Boggy Creek about ten years ago. I laughed through most of it until the end and at one point actually jumped off the couch in terror. I'll have to tell you sometime about my brother being chased through the Oklahoma woods late at night by....something, he was never sure what it was, but it really stunk!

Yeah, that's what I was saying, the effects seem a bit hokey and dated, but otherwise the premesis, structure, and story are perfect. If this got remade well, I'd be first in line (with someone to claw at in fear of course, accompanying me). Loyal is prepping us for what I'm sure is going to have a top ten riddled with horror. But have no fear, I am going to watch a horror film this weekend in preperation for the rest of the list plus jen's list.

Oscar awards, any thread that is popular and has a purpose for being around will not be hijacked. I heard some crap happened in here recently. Its now passed. Theres no reason to continue bringing it up and disrupting the thread. If you have any issues with something that is still happening in this thread, contact the mods over PM and let them know and they will best handle it.
At this point, i hope to see this thread grow with everyone participating and having fun checking out each other's top 100 lists.

Guybrush, I wanted to say that I am sorry if you feel discouraged by my posts in particular. I cannot apologize for anyone else, and at this point I don't know if I would (considering recent comments).
While I do think posting your list quicker would have been better, as everyone else finished theirs within a few days and you have thus far taken over two weeks, hijacking the thread as we did was not appropraite.
:Respect:
