Re: HARRY POTTER 7-2: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $249.6m WW
With just $100m and 2 days of OS numbers to come it is a lock that this will beat the previous record of $394m, the only question is by how much. I still see $450m-$460m OW total with as high as $490m, though I don't think it will cross $500m WW total unless WB decides to fudge some numbers.

Domestically, the big Saturday drop pretty much rules out anything above $175m I think, though it still has a strong shot at the low $170ms. Though i wouldn't be surprised if it dips slightly lower than that for around the high $160ms (i.e. $167m, $168m) 3-Day. Overseas, it's already at $157.5m, i think Saturday it will rise to around $90-100m and then drop to around $60-70m for an overseas total around $310m-330m. Worldwide, it's looking good for anywhere between $480-505m.

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-2: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $249.6m WW
MEXICO - Opening Day
Humungous opening day which guanrantees an opening north of $10m. It's easily going to break through the Top 5 largest opening weekend and may give Toy Story 3's record (at $15.1m) a serious run. If it fails to do that much, i think it'll still outopen the next placegetters; Spiderman 3's $11.9m and Transformers 3's $10.75m.
1) Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $6.1m (71.7m Pesos Fri – 50% 3D – 2126 SC)
Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen - $2,219,818 Iron Man 2 - $2.1m Harry Potter 7-1: DH - $2m (24.4m Pesos/ 531,000 adms. - 1506) Star Wars 3: ROTS - 187,000 adms. Iron Man - $1.9m Night At The Museum - $1.6m The Da Vinci Code - $1.5m War Of The Worlds - $1.26m (359) The Matrix: Reloaded - $1.05m (530p/898sc) The Matrix: Revolutions - $898,000 (550p/828sc) Lord Of The Rings: ROTK - $884,376 (550)
JAPAN - Opening Day
While it wasn't a record breaker here, it's still a very large opening day and the largest for the franchise by far. It more than doubed HP7-1's dissapointing $2.1m and is on par with ROTK.
ROTK ended up grossing $14.7m including some previews (or $11.1m without). DH1 recovered to gross $14.6m OW. The current franchise record holder is OOTP's $18.7m which counts as the 3rd largest outright opening in US$. The top two spots are held by Spiderman 3 at $26.6m and ROTS at $19m.
With an opening day of this magnitude, i think we should be expecting an OW just above HP7-1 for around $15-17m. It doesn't look like it'll be the breakout or recovery (to HP1/HP2) we're hoping for in Japan.....but should at least rebound from the lows of recent Potters.
Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $5.7m (¥454.3m Fri – 69% 3D – 922 SC) Lord Of The Rings: ROTK - $5.6m (729 TC) Avatar - $4.05m (371m Yen) Lord Of The Rings: TTT - ~$3.7m Spiderman 3 - $3.7m (¥444m) Pirates Of The Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides - $3.7m (¥300m) Harry Potter 6: HBP - $3.57m (Wed - 840 TC)*Ladies Day Spiderman 2 - $3.43m (¥410m Spiderman 1 - $2.9m (¥347m) War Of The Worlds - $2.8m (Wed - 830 TC) Harry Potter 7-1: DH - $2.8m (¥238.638m/ 194,000 adms.) The Matrix: Revolutions - $1.45m (493sc – 11pm)

Yeah, I think $475m WW is the minimum and $500m certainly achievable...

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-2: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $293.8m WW
While Saturdays are biggest days in OS markets this is last HP movie. There were a lot more than usual sell-outs on Friday everywhere I track (Singapore, Malaysia, India) than Saturday. Now I don't see HP decreasing still I don't think it will increase to $100m (I am expecting it to stay flat or increase slightly by $80m-$85m) and it is surely not matching Friday numbers on Sunday so I see another $55m-$60m.
I don't say it can't go higher but I think it will make $490m which is definitely close to $500m WW total.

BRAZIL - Opening Day
Apparently, Warners is claiming this is the largest opening day in history, though unconfirmed. I wonder which other movie has opened this high before (the reports don't make it clear cut); my records are incomplete unfortunately for Brazil.
Eclipse currently holds the opening record at $10.4m; though it's opening day is confirmed to be around $2.4m. The only other opener with the strength to get this high on opening day is probably this year's Pirates 4 (#3 OW record at $8.4m) or Spiderman 3 (#7 with $7.3m).
Brazil openings have become increasingly huge over the past 2 years, it's almost at the stage now where its rivalling Mexico head on.
HP7-1 grossed $9.7m or $7.4m over the regular 3-Day, it's currently #2 on the opening weekend charts. I'm predicting the Eclipse OW record will be taken by a $11-12m HP7-2 opening.
Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $4.4m (Fri – 40% 3D - 990 SC) The Twilight Saga: Eclipse - $2,401,563 (4.3m BRL - 310p) Harry Potter 6: HBP - $2.1m (4.015m BRL - 761) Harry Potter 5: OOTP - $1.53m (404,000 adms. - 850 TC) The Matrix: Revolutions - $750,000 (290,000 adms.) Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen - $702,179

No, but for this kind of movie Sunday is usually bigger (but there are exceptions to the rule) in markets like Germany or Italy...

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-2: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $293.8m WW
SPAIN - Opening Day
Hmm, 4th largest opening day of all-time....i'm curious who has the Top 3 spots. New Moon (currently OW record holder at $15m) is not the one, nor is Pirates 3 (#3 OW record holder at $12.9m. The only other potentials are Torrente 4 ($11.5m OW), Spiderman 3 ($11m OW), Avatar ($11m), perhaps they mean euros or admissions....hmmm..
If it follows Da Vinci Code's trajectory; it's headed for an OW north of $11m....i think it'll struggle to take down New Moon's $15m record though should land in the Top 3.
4) Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $3.3m (€2.4m Fri – 43% 3D - 870 SC)
The Da Vinci Code - $3m (750 TC) Harry Potter 5: OOTP - $2.6m (€1.9m/ 393,000 adms. - 602 TC) The Twilight Saga: New Moon - $2.2m (€1.48m Wed - 652 TC) Lord Of The Rings: ROTK - $1,749,199 (512) Star Wars 3: ROTS - $1,741,333 (495 TC) War Of The Worlds - $1.2m (345 TC) Lord Of The Rings: TTT - $1,080,000 The Matrix: Revolutions - $1.06m (471 TC/465p) Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl - $1,026,120 (343 TC) Pirates Of The Caribbean 3: At World’s End - $900,000 (Thu) Superman Returns - $947,000 (560p - Wed) Lord Of The Rings: FOTR - $800,000+

Then at night, we have some pretty big TV shows on. There's no public holidays anymore from now until the end of the year BOOOooo

POLAND - Opening Day
Epic opening day, which more than doubled ROTK which is obviously no slouch. It's apparently the biggest opening day of the franchise though it's not the record holder....hmm. That title probably belongs to something like Shrek 3, Madagascar 2, 2012, Ice Age 3 or Avatar which are the current Top 5 OW record holders.
ROTK ended up grossing $2.43m with its 4-Day opening of which $1.813m was made Friday to Sunday. HP7-1 currently holds the record for the franchise at $2.5m over the regular 3-Day frame (#10 opener overall in US$).
HP7-2 is looking good for something north of that amount. Needs $2.86m to crack the Top 5.
Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $1.25m (Fri - 95% 3D – ZL3.6m) Lord Of The Rings: ROTK - $615,944 (150) The Twilight Saga: Eclipse - $562,000 (120,744 adms./ 1,900,301 PLN - 144p) The Twilight Saga: New Moon - 1,680,347 PLN / 107,905 adm Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen - $335,623 (Wed)

It's like a some kind of minor holiday especially for kids. Sitting at home and sleeping is boring. Here if people will go anywhere on weekends - theaters, cinemas, parks, attractions most likely it would be on Sunday. Sunday was always a day to go somewhere, to see something or someone, to spend time outdoors for kids and teens. We also hever had and don't have now any captivating TV-show to watch at home with huge audience on weekends.

 Re: HARRY POTTER 7-2: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $43.6m + $50
Australia:
Day 1 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $7,029,487 (US$7.44m incl. US$2.5m midnights - 58.5% 3D - 753 SC) Day 2 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $4m (US$4.2m - 59% 3D - 754 SC) (Day 2) Day 3 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $4.5m (US$4.8m – 754 SC)
Total = $15.6m / US$16.6m
It really doesn't get much bigger than this. It's 3rd day, a Friday, is the 2nd largest Friday of all-time behind only ROTK's (previous OD record holder until HP7-2) $5.27m. It increased again from Thursday small drop (deviating from HP5 which dropped slightly on its first Friday).
HP7-2 has already made $15.6m in just 3-Days. This is higher than all Potter openings (including HP7-1's 4-Day $15.3m) and only trails HP6's 5-Day OW of $18.7m (it's already smashed its 4-Day $14.3m) and HP5's $17m 5-Day (it's already smashed its 4-Day $12.87m).
Expect a slight uptick again again on Saturday to something like $5m before dropping (possibly quite larger than normal due to school holidays finishing) to something like $4.25m on Sunday. This one is looking good for record opening over the regular 4-day of around $16.5m-17m, and a 5-Day total of $24m. Very impressive.
--
Germany:
Day 1 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $5.3m (77% 3D p/v - 1641 TC) Day 2 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $4.2m (€3m – 69% 3D - 1641 SC) - Thu Day 3 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $4.9m (€3.5m - 1641 SC) - Fri
Total = Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $14.4m (€10.1m - $5.3m Wed + $4.2m Thu + $4.9m Fri)
Thunderous pace in Germany with another 2 days to go (the biggest 2-Days mind you). $14.4m is just astonishing, it's higher than even the opening weekends of movies like Matrix Reloaded ($14.1m) and Spiderman 3 ($13.7m).
Expect Saturday and Sunday to both be above $6m i think. HP1 did $4.8m and $4.4m respectively on these days. It pretty much has the opening weekend record in the bag now, needs just another $9.45m to beat HP6's $23.85m. It will do this and much more. I'm thinking another $6.5m for Saturday and $6m for Sunday to give it an opening weekend close to $27m.

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-2: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $173m+ WW
France:Day 1 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $7.1m (1195 – 67% 3D - Wed) Day 2 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $4.8m (€3.4m - 1195 SC) Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $3.7m (€2.7m – 1195 SC) - Fri
Total = Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $15.7m (€11.2m Wed – Fri)The only other comparison i have over this 3-Day frame is Pirates 4 which only made $6.8m at this point (before thundering home with $16.65m or another $9.8m). HP7-2 is tracking twice as large which if it continues this pace is looking for an opening north of $30m (it may even scare Welcome to the Stick's record of $36.7m). $15.7m would elevate it above OWs such as Alice in Wonderland's $15.4m, Ice Age 3's $14.8m and ROTK's $14m. The only question now i think is whether it's going to be the new record holder or settle for 2nd spot. There's no way it'll fall below Les Bronzes 3 which is currently #2 on the OW charts at $24.2m. -- Russia:Day 1 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $4.12m (Wed) Day 2 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $3.892m (Thu) Day 3 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $3.2m (Rbl 90m Fri - 1563 SC)
Total = Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $11.3m (Rbl 318m - $4.2m Wed + $3.892m Thu + $3.2m Fri – 1563 SC)It's loosing pace with Pirates 4 which made $5.4m at the same point (increased from Thursday's $5.2m), the gap now blows out to $4.3m with Pirates 4 making $15.6m by its 3rd day. Pirates 4 made a whopping $15.8m from this point (someone did say Saturday and Sunday being huge days ). HP7-2 is tracking at around $20-24m at this point which will put it into a tight contest with Transformers 3's $21.97m and Ice Age 3's $20.9m for spots #2 and #3 respectively on the opening weekend charts.

Day 1 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH – $4.3m (€3.041m – 57% 3D – 988 TC) Day 2 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH – $2.69m (€1.9m) – Thu Day 3 - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $2.4m (€1.7m) – Fri
Total - Harry Potter 7-2: DH - $10m (€7.1m Wed - Fri)
Something is obviously not right because the totals for each day doesn't add up to the total figure reported by Screen Daily earlier. Still which ever way you look at it, this is record pace. It slowed down just a tad on Friday again and is now pretty even with HP6 (which did 1.5m euros on Friday). HP6 increased to 1.6m euros on Saturday and 1.7m on Sunday.
It's gross to date of $10m is knocking on the door of the Top 10. It's already beaten other openers such as ROTK's $9.8m and Passion of the Christ's $9.2m. HP7-1 stands just in front with $10.2m over the regular 3-Day frame.
Since Potter still has Saturday and Sunday to play with, expect something like $3m on Saturday and $3.5m on Sunday to give it a final 5-Day opening in excess of $16m (enough to take down Spiderman 3's $14.9m #2 spot on the OW charts). It will need something really incredibly if it is to top this year's Che Bella Giornata for the opening record. Che Bella Giornata did $24m 5-Day and $15.2m earlier this year.

The weather is pretty crap over here, that should help HP's gross even more. Dunno if it's bad outside of Holland, but I imagine it's not great in the UK, Belgium and Germany either.
